Why don't you post an email to MM about the speed limiter. Since I never had one I can not tell you any more than that. Now I can tell you that the shift limiter can be raised but not removed (yet). My shift limiters were just like everyone elses even with the X, when I had the AP installed Jeff raised my shift limiters to the maximum.

2004 rx8 4 speed
got to 125 mph in third gear, and 4th gear is useless...
normally cant do that,after getting better engine oil, u can get 500more rpm each gear before fuel cut by the way i'm using 15w50 oil

04 6mt dead stock, 240 kmh in 5th and was passed by Porsche Cayman on the autoceste on the way to Dubrovnik (southern end of Croatia)

Hi. I have 03 rx8. I can only do 187 km/h because of the damn speed limiter. Does anyone know how to get rid of the speed limiter

Ummmm............ Don't think the Cobb will fix the limiter issue guys
This has been as issue that has been looked into for some time without any positive results

well i talked to alot of the hks dealers. they say for sure it works. Some kind of way it taps into the transmission control module. thats what they told me and they seem 100% sure.

yeah they have a couple at PTP in Austin, TX. You have to wire it to the ECU.

'07 6-spd with mazdaspeed CAI..........gotten it up to 120mph and i know i still could've gotten it higher.

So does the cobb remove the limiter or not i'm a AT 6 and ive gotten up to like 123 and ran out of road

'06 touring pkg
146mph twice in 5th
it cuts off after that
this was downhill after shifting down to 5th
i dont know why this is higher than most people
i have stock ecu and only custom exhaust and a racepipe for performance mods

Best I've ever gotten is 125MPH.
