hahah Brettus, yes this is the final solution.

Dynotune is happening at the moment for my extractor/hi flow cat/ exhaust combo

We want to tune and work with my car N/A before going FI

I actually bought the Greddy Turbocharger Kit, but then the seller retracted and refunded me the money.

Then it was decision between supercharger then turbo.

In the End it was the supercharger, which is on its way from Japan as we speak.

:D

I haven't heard of the Knightsport kit. So I am about to research it :-D

I think S/C can make up the power that the car really needs on low end. I'm interested in following your future posts to hear about how things go.

Keep us all informed on how well you like it.

i purchased it for 5k Australian, this is a 2nd hand with about 9000 kms on it, straight from Japan from a wrecked rear ended rx8. The seller owns a wrecking yard in Japan and is selling wrecked parts directly here in Australia.
It comes with a ECU that is pretuned i think it might be a Emanage Ultimate, not sure.
I also have a Microtech LT10 - Interceptor X
At the moment im running Protuner for my car

We will experiment with these ECU, most likely staying with flash ecu tuning.

hmmm..
mmmmmmm?

It is a centrifugal supercharger, so it will be less power then twin screw in low end
however the powercurve will be very linear, i just cant find that dyno graph from knightsport.

It was said that this kit can achieve up to 290psi/hp.

I wont be going that high due to two things
- Auto 4 port :D
- reliable street tune

at the moment my car is at 130hp rear wheels

My aim is around 200 hp rear wheels for a 4 port

Will that be enough for the future? probably not

But it is more then enough for a daily street car,

Less hp = less wear = less expenses

I know with a greddy turbo i can expect to see higher numbers,

But for my application i really think 200-214 hp is enough.

so supercharger will prob be ran at around 5-7 PSI

On a side note my mechanic is friends with the official Knight Sports Distributor here in Australia

At the moment he is running 4 port 5speed JDM model with a mild port on engine, running Microtech ECU, knightsport supercharger kit

He is seeing roughly 275-280 hp at rear wheels.

They are in the process of building a new 6 port engine by Xtreme Rotories, that contains the "lot" (seals, doweling, more?) dont know. That was all that i was told

It will be interesting to see how it comes out, and on the side note we have a rx8 track day national here in Australia,

That RX8 described above may see live track experiments with the new engine if it is completed in time.

I shall post updates as continues

P.S
I just purchased the knight sports gauge pod from Japanparts

http://blog.gtroc.com/dino/KS-RX8-08.jpg Its the one to the left side of your cluster.

This will be together with a FEED gauge pod setup. opposite of the lotek one for RHD

Im using prosports gauge pods

at the moment the ones ordered are
-EGT
-Wideband O2
-Boost
-Oil Temp
- For the last one im throwing up between Water Temp, Oil Pressure, Vacuum

Which one you guys reckon?

Regards
Jason

My last car, a Mustang, was at 220rwhp. It was more than enough power to make trouble in the streets on a daily driver. When I got my 8 I wished to have similar HP output that my Mustang had, it would make the 8 a monster for a daily driver(these cars are just phenominal when it comes to handling, I can't imagine driving anything else).

I've looked at the procharger s/c but $8K is just too much money for the setup in my opinion.
I am really interested to see how your setup works out for you. Whats the ETA for your kit to arrive?

I am torn between the Petite kit and the Greddy kit. I think I rather add a turbo to the 8, personally. You never know what can happen though :-)

I saw the Knight Sports kit in person and the action

The kit is very well designed ... one thing I dont understand is the intake filter location, Its right next to the intercooler ... I mean it comes with a duct to direct cold air from the front. but if u're stuck in traffic and right next to the intercooler + Radiator under ...

The owner of the kit said he had that concern too but, so far no problems. and Knight Sports people came all the way to install and tune it for him.

For Regular Street driving, its very linear. and the power is there whenever you need it.

I was thinking about buying it too. But I got other stuff to deal with right now so I will get it later.
