Okay it's going in the shop today. A guy who built a RX8 twin turbo-engine swap will be doing the ride and may put a "garrett turbo" on which is bigger then the Greddy. This guy has had ample time building and racing 8's and 7's so hopefully all goes well.

I have an childlike question regarding AT turbo setups. Once a turbo is installed, (or supercharger) do you have to allways drive in manumatic mode? Or doesnt the mode have anything to do with anything. I've allways wondered this.

If you do install this all the way it will be an amazing thing but I have a question.... isn't just going to give you the same amount of speed as a MT stock?

iono just wondering....

Why would you even think that? I don't see how you would even come up with that. NO WAY JOSE!!!! You can drive it in manual mode or auto mode neither the FI or the car cares. You'll have more fun in manual mode but it does not make any difference.

I will not get into it but your wrong - of course if that's all you want then it's possible but depending on your wants, desires and pocket book you can well exceed a MT

Okay here is the status. The Garret turbo install will prob not happen. The guy who was going to install my turbo died the night before. He was coming back from his shop when a deer was on the road, swerved to miss it and hit a fence. A woman saw it tried to save him but his A-Ora? or something in his neck got sliced and he passed away shortly after....

The turbo he was going to exchange for my greddy will most likely not happen. One of his friends will be helping me this weekend. Hopefully everything will be fine.

yeah.I just found another shop to do it. Paid $550 in advance, might be another $500 to install. (Im taking apart most of the car with help, then he'll install, tune, etc.) His shop might sponosor me due to him loving the look of the ride and he's trying to get tuners and imports in his shop. He said I can have access to his dyno any time I need.

To bad I'm going to Hot Import Nights this weekend without the Turbo. I'll be with the National Guard set up with my ride. It's a perk to be in the Guard lol

Heres the ride as of today:
