Auto 8 and a Borla
Hey folks:
First off I want to thank the mods for adding in this AT specific thread for us.
Second, who has an auto 8 and Borla? I have a Borla and K&N Intake (waiting for the new design). I love the sound of the Borla at idle and under WOT. Just curious as to which 8 owners have a Borla and what do you think of it?
PS I also have tuned my 8 with the CZ unit :D

does the borla have that ricer sound? i want more of a throaty sound. also how hard was it to hook up the CZ and what are the necessary items. I've read some of the threads I don't think I'll have a problem installing it but actually calibrating it is what worrys me. I know the CZ will void the warranty what about upgrading your muffler will it void anything w/the warranty? Thanks.
Borla sounds ok to me, Greddy a little to ricy, Rx8store...perfect. Haven't heard Hymee's or RB's, though many have said RB's is heavier than stock, so it's out. Last thing I want is more weight.
I like the sound of my Borla, nice and throaty, not too loud. Compliments my K&N intake nicely. I also have a Borla on my Miata and love the sound of it too, nice growl under acceleration.
The Hymee exhaust is similar to borla in sound......very very throaty not overbearing whatsoever...the big difference is the tips
Hymee's are double walled, beveled, 4" tips and look OUTSTANDING :D :D
