This thread has gone to the dogs....

AT reasons:

1. Traffic. F*ing with a stick in bumper to bumper traffic = no fun.

2. Enjoy doing other things while driving like watching TV/Videos and phone. Hands free phone recommended though....

3. Eating in the car. Though you should be careful, crumbs are a bitch to clean.

4. Sex while driving. Including getting BJs and handjobs. Not recommended for the timid.

5. Weaving through traffic. Easier to do with an automatic.

6. By the way, the automatics can be put in manual mode and you can shift gears.

So the real deal is mostly HP. Drive a 300HP automatic, and you will feel better about a great many things.

How to solve all the MT vs AT issues. Mazda needs to make a semi-automatic. One transmission type and one engine would save them money too. However Mazda should go FI next time or at least kick Mazdaspeed in the *** and have a FI kit ready.

Any deficiencies that may have been present with the at were and are solved with FI. I hope no one watches TV or videos while they are driving but there are air heads galore out there that would try.

The average m/t driver should have to take a class on driving. Most have no idea of how to drive any type of transmission let alone an m/t. I have seen so many panic and do stupid things.
