I engage the clutch at 4k ish and as soon as I hit 5k I'm in to the spray!!!!! ZOOM ******* ZOOM!!!

You need to be on top of it cause 8500 comes up fast (9k if you feel risky) and smash the dirty piece of ***** into 2nd gear......... f'n light speed bro!!!

I can't wait to try the 65 shot.

Of course I wouldn't do any of this when the roads are as cold as they are (where I live anyway).

well, I never even considered spraying in 1st because its already fast enugh, besides, as you must know yourself, it becomes risky real fast

haha, well back to topic, has anyone have any experience with nitrous tuning? apart from pulling the ignition timing, what else would have to be taken into consideration?

Are nitrous solenoids capable of working like fuel injectors? Pulse-width modulated? As in, you put in much bigger jets and then you pulse the solenoid to inject the proper amount of nitrous/fuel. Then as the RPMs build you can lengthen the pulse in order to maintain the same amount of nitrous per combustion event and not have the torque drop off up top like it does with a constant flow.

Apart from ignition timing, you might want to fine-tune the AFRs a little... Maybe colder plugs?

so just how high of a shot would still be realisticly safe for the 8 and would give you enough power to start breaking parts?

wow .. thats pretty impressive if it will take a 150 shot like a champ... this spring is when my nitrous journey begins also ... the only thing winter is good for is buying up parts to install on the 8 when the snow is gone

I spray from 1st all the way up. IMO the most satisfying part of using the spray is timing up the shift from 1st to 2nd. Theres nothing like mashing that pedal to the floor in first gear and seeing that nitrous driven needle spin ferociously up that tachometer to around 8500 (by the time u hit the clutch its at 9000) and then WHAM!!! right to second without skipping a beat, then hearing those tires clawing at the pavement for traction, all the while laying a nice patch of rubber behind you.....then its fu**ing lift off baby.

Yes you did, and i thought the advice was warranted for the beginning stages....but i was soon overcome w/ devilish greed and lusted for more

Ray do you recall how long it took for you and i to try it from first gear??

I remember, I did a couple of runs with 55 shot, and then put 75 in.
and then went to take it for a ride.
The next thing was BOOM!!! the intake box cracked, the filter and the meshes gone.
Good times.

eww that's scary roto...

I'm stuck between doing a 50 shot or 60 shot... Is the intake box cracking the only sign you get before you realize it's to big of a shot?

Oh and the intake did not just cracked...
It exploded wide open open. I had to use epoxy to put it back together

lol, you don't need to start cracking stuff to know its too big of a shot, get an AFR gauge..........you know its too big of a shot when it comes out wayyyyy rich, or wayyyyyyy lean, if it comes out wayyy lean, you fucked your jettings, if it comes out tooo rich, your wasting your nitrous and gas, and possibly wanting an exploding manifold

65 shot stock? rotorocks, u have ballz lol

I did 55, then 2 days later, 60, then 65 on the same day, then came back 60, then 65 again lol

if they made 36.7/19.2 jets, I'd use them :D

btw, if any of you wants to use nitrous

there is only 1 rule

1. DO WHATEVER THE HELL CHARLES R. HILLS TELLS YOU TO!!!
^ just do it
^ listen to what he says
^ he's right, do it

Is this one of those "do as I say, not as I do" things, Taj? Long as I can remember all I hear from Ray to you is "I told you so"
