Help installing the e-01 and a Inovate DX-1 kit with Turbo

It turns out that my cold plugs just misfire occasionally before they are warmed-up. Without that info, i'd be freaking out thinking I might be too lean. Having the AFR at my fingertips has also given me the information that the emanage blue works perfectly for me. The AFR is not drifiting over time for my car. Plus, being able to log the AFRs on street runs will be priceless. Its only $150 and wiring it to the e-01 is a snap.
Anyone with a good DIY with pics on installing a e-01 and an Inovate DX-1 kit with the eManage and Turbo kit?

I've been reading for awhile, and I searched all night. I just can't decide whether to get the canscan or scanalyser for my laptop. I have minimal bolt ons and just want to be able to have the most capability in retrieving useful information. Which one is better?

Mike,

If you have any questions about sCANalyser, feel free to send me a PM or email. We have a new version which is almost finished and I can fill you in on some of the new features if you like.

Cheers

Ross

swoope - there is nothing extra above what is in the 2.0 beta you currently have. We already have plans for additional feature for the 2.1 release, but they are on hold while we stabilise the 2.0 beta into a release version.

With the scanlyser, would it be necessary to purchase a WB02 sensor to tune using emanage?

No. The sCANalyser supports the use of the factory WB02 sensor to display as measured Lambda values, or, if you prefer (cough) AFR if you think you know what the stoich value for the fuel you are using.

Hymee.

I believe the Scanalyzer won't read below 11.0 AFR though. Is that correct?

Below is an image I posted on another thread a while back. It shows the sensor current versus lambda, both reported by the PCM. sCANalyser does not manipulate this data, just provides it as reported.

Any limitation on what lambda/AFR reading sCANalyser reports is purely a limit of the PCM. If someone can find the data on the RX8's WBO2 sensor and that shows we can derive a wider range of lambda readings from the current reading I'll implement a conversion in sCANalyser.

Like sco said, it is not a sCANalyser issue, but the sensor/PCM. It is a widerange sensor, but not a "really-really" widerange one.

Why would you want to tune as rich as .75 Lambda anyway? If you started there, you would just take some fuel out until you got within the measureable range, then fine tune it to the lambda you are chasing.

Cheers,
Hymee.

the new Greddy "Intelligent Informeter" may also work very well as its a digital display guage that connects to the OBD-II system and can also datalog for you...

... haven't heard back from greddy though if it actually can read our OBD-II system
