I will atleast clean it up... thats a no brainer. To go full Bridgeport is the question.
And yes, i am a lucky fella. Its because of her i am rebuilding my motor. She is the one who bought the turbo kit to start with. Now its turned into me buying upgraded seals, trying to figureout if i am going to bridgeport, going E85 and thinking of a turbo upgrade - GT35r.
All in all i am just looking for a fun toy. I figured if i was going with a larger turbo and E85 porting would help out in the boost ap that i was going for.

BDC will definitely do port work for you. I have exchanged a few emails with him recently on this very subject
Racing Beat is now selling Renesis porting templates so they have done on R&D on the subject. I have no idea if they will do the actual porting though.
Pineapple Racing I would expect they would do it as well.

yeah, i just bought all the nitrous setup from charles do try and do a direct port setup. In my mind it was crazy to spend the amount people wanted for a kit. Well she came along and dropped some cash and bought me the esmeril kit. Since then i have spent ALOT more money then the original kit would have cost. But i am starting to find it way way addicting.
The girl doesnt look half bad either ;-)
hmmm... has pineapple racing done a renesis yet? I may have to contact them also to get some info and thier imput

From the Sevenstock 12 photo thread, pdxhak said this was the RB response: "If you were to do nothing but perform our "street port" on an otherwise stock Renesis engine, the improvement in power would be small. However, once that is done, other changes make a larger difference due to the better breathing. I have recently seen 247 HP from a ported engine with our intake, flash, header and race muffler, plus a few other minor mods. In the past, a good race engine (no porting) would be in the 230+ HP range."
The cost of the templates are $95.00.

A picture of the template is in SS 12 picture thread. I sent and email to Racing Beat and I posted their response there and I will post it here as well.
I asked RB what could be expected from their porting template and how much does it cost. This is their response.

^Bridgeport?
On another note, I forgot about BDC and I was going to have RAY at PFS do any of my porting because of the convenience. How much would it cost to ship the average engine lol?
Sorry, I forgot to quote Phish 806.

I shot them an email. waiting on a reply
EDIT:
Just got the reply from Pineapple Racing. The entire email is as follows:
We are not porting Renesis parts for outside assemblies at the moment.
If you are not going to do the math for runner length, I would look at other mods.

i am in the same shoes too, but i have an extra engine that i bought, so i will go to KDR (dave) which is located in PA. he is tuning my car and building up a lot of rotaries. i will try to drop off my extra renesis engine, and make him do the project which he has until next year...spring time...i can't wait....i want him to do bridgeport or what ever he thinks is good for turbo application.

From what i hear it has been done. Again, better to be safe while the motor is open. Target horse for my car would be at 400WHP... anything more would jsut be bonus.

They are talking flywheel HP, not rear wheel

I have been talking to Brian with BDC and he seems like he definately woudl be a good guy to do the work. Location and shipping is my only concern with having him do the work but i will grin and bear it if need be.
I have also emailed A-spec to see what there take and price is on the whole topic seeing how they are a bit more local. I am still waiting on thier reply seeing how i just emailed them.

Word of advice
Up to now as far as i know brian has not done a port on a rx8. He is good with rx7 (he says..._). I recommend oj imports and i guarantee the build is good. Check out my thread!
