I had one (T04S). It's a larger version of the BNR Greddy upgrade. You will need an external wastegate.

A new one? That's a nice Turbo but usually in the 800-1000 dollar range.

A 60 trim is different from the 60-1. Be sure you know what you're getting.

60 trim T04E and 60-1 are both 60 trim wheels. By trim we are referring to inducer^2/exducer^2 . But yes, "60 trim" usually means T04E 60 trim (or in some cases T3 60 trim), and that is not the same as a 60-1. Confusing, isn't it?

Go with the 44mm. You dont want to get stuck buying the 38mm and then realize it doesnt suit your HP output.

+1 for Tial 44, I've had good luck with it. But it's way bigger physically than the Tial 38 so fitment can be tricky. Here it is on my Rx-7:

As you can see it's recirculated into my mostly custom exhaust, which has a catless flex section not pictured here. That connects to a Racing Beat dual catback. Racing Beat catbacks are quiet, so when the wastegate opens it changes the exhaust note some but doesn't make it that much louder. It's louder than internal wastegate but otherwise you don't notice it that much.

I have a 44mm Tial wastegate on my mazdaspeed6 and it just dumps it straight to the ground so yes it is very loud. Once it opens it just screams, its awsome.

How much power you planning on making. Enough to upgrade coils and injectors or just below that. I am looking to buy an 8 for relatively cheap so I can port and dowl it and upgrade it all. I would be looking for 500whp. Even though I dont need it I just want it. lol
