Who is doing your stuff locally? Seriously man, a turbo kit is all about being properly designed. But I guess you will learn the hard way. Let me know if you need any help? Is that turbo oil cooled and water cooled?

Dude you cannot be serious....
After all the money and effort you have put into your car you are going to go the cheap homemade route to boost your car???? Why not look for a used Greddy system instead here is one on Ebay right now.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Gredd...Q5fAccessories
then you can upgrade the turbo if you want and if you have the Cobb AP you could get the base maps from MazdaManiac or someone with experience tuning turbo systems for an RX-8.
Those Subie turbos are not made for an RX-8!!!!!
hopefully the "friend" helping you with this is not one of your Subie guys... this car is way different to boost than a WRX. I know that and I am by no means an expert. Just seems a shame to Frankenstein old Subie parts into your car...
But whatever GL and hopefully your car does not grenade on you...

all i said is that i am going to test it out...if not i am going to buy a turbo...as for the greddy turbo i would be spending money extra money on upgrading this turbo and all the faulty parts that come with the kit...i could still upgrade the turbo during anytime in this procress so far the costs without upgrading turbo is like 1.5k because of all free parts and labor i am getting even upgrading i would be spending about 2.5k the same price as a used greddy turbo without the upgrade...i will already be using the cobb accessport but not the maps from mazdamaniac because i will be having it protuned by kantuning or bdc motorsports in dallas because ive heard good things about them on rotary forums

"TD04" ... that's a TD04-13T. My friend ran two of those things on his Vr-4, and that was after they had been clipped.
conversion factor: .10 m/s = 211.88 cfm. so with any efficiency left you're flowing around 22 lb/min at 10psi. and I think it has a 7 cm^2 turbine housing. The Greddy is a 10 cm^2.
