Here is the supercharger I have...
I think it should work well at 6-8 psi. I was advised that the s-trim was maybe a little small when I was looking at using a vortech however the flow map looks good for 40-50lbs of air.

I think the V5 or V9 Vortech units would be a better choice for an engine of this size.

what makes you choose these two? they seem very different in flow rates. the v5 looks too small, however the v9 looks good to me.

If you're going to need someone to do custom fab work for you, you'd be better off purchasing someone's already finished kit.

I actually never saw the maps for either. I was just basing that purely on what their total output capability is and what engine size they are recommended for. Where'd you find the maps at? Are they on Vortech's website?

After looking at those 2 maps, I don't think the V5 looks small at all. I don't think the V9 looks bad either. They actually look quite comparable to each other. The difference I see is that for lower boost the V5 would probably be more efficient but at higher boost levels the V9 would probably take it by a little bit. I'm only talking about a switch over point of about 11 or 12 psi or so and even then the difference between them is only a couple of percent. I think either would be good. They're supposed to be comparable to each other from an engine size standpoint and the maps seem to support that. They each definitely look better than the V1. That unit is just too large.

yeah agree it's only a few percent efficiency and v-5 would be ok for 7psi but I would change over to the v9 before 11psi. I seem to be reading the maps completely differently to you since the v1 looks small to me

I have a feeling these things like to be oversize just look at the procharger.

I went back and ran some numbers again and couldn't get my original ones. I must have entered a value wrong the first time. Who knows? My last run at it seems to agree with you better now though. I'm still not sure I'd say the V1 is small though.
