Assuming for the moment that a factory FI version of the 8 is coming soon (which btw I'm not at all betting on) this may **** you off because you wish you would have waited, but I hope you aren't blaming Mazda. Every manufacturer of everything has to do this. As soon as you announce a superior car/widget/whatever to the one you're now selling, everyone will stop buying said item and wait for the better one. That's a sure way to go out of business.

So you want Mazda to buy your NA car back because they may be offering a turbo model? Or am I missing your point here? If the former, then everyone who missed the boat on a Vette ZO6, Mustang Cobra, Mazdaspeed Miata, and every other special model ever made should be able to return their regular model or get special treatment (?). I know you're pissed but when a car is successful, companies release updated or special models.

yeah--I'm not going to hold my breath on a higher power FI model; but it would seem logical for a number of reasons.
A. The Mazdaspeed Protege and Miata are Turboed
B. All of the competitors already have more powerful cars
C. 3-5K worth of "factory backed" suspension modifications without some significant power increase ( at least 30HP) is worthless
