Post Turbo on an AT?

Would anyone know if a turbo can be installed on an '07 AT and if there are any problems with that?

Of course you can install a turbo. Just because it's automatic doesn't mean you can't install a turbo, it just means it will still be alot slower.

09Factor has one on his 4AT. I would think it would be even easier with the 6AT because you have the same engine as the MTs.

I do think he had to do some mods to the EMU to get it to work with the 4-port, but I believe he has an AP now. So it might not even need that. PM him to get the details.

I don't know if anyone has done a turbo on the 6AT yet.

Someone has. They may just not ***** themselves out here over something so trivial.

True, it really shouldn't be any different than a 6-port MT turbo setup, correct?

Only place you would see a difference is parts of the tune. Otherwise its the same car.

Also I haven't seen a 6port AT UIM so I don't know if it is the same as the 6-port MT UIM. I know the 4-port UIM is the same. You could have considerations there if you were designing a UIM. I'm not sure why you would for a turbo car though.

Well, that and it has the inferior 6-port motor.

4-port: 5 extra ft-lb of peak torque FTW!!!

Yep, someone did and poped the motor on the crap Greddy tune. We are probally talking about 2 diffrent people.
And who you calling a *****?

The '07 + AT is the same as the '04 + MT. only added diffrence is the TCM code the ECU looks for. UIM,LIM, harness ect are the same..

MDW,
The AP is a big step up from the EMU.
