I guess I have tuned for mine, my transition to open loop has always gone from 14/13 to 12 or 11, and it feel more peppy. clamps are a must either way because the jet air line will see boost from the engine side if not from the turbo side.

They see a lot more boost from the turbo side - more than 20psi at times

i also idle at 1.2K rpm so jet air really wouldnt be of use in my engine.
Isnt E 85 hard to run on the Street? Quality and availablity and all that?
Heck cant you almost get the same thing with a good water meth injection system. a good one that is mounted correctly--not the generic add on poorly placed nozzle kind.

One warning though, premix and E85 do not mix. When they touch each other it creates this black **** that is like snot and will clog everything. If you ever ran premix before then this will happen since the whole fuel system is coated in it. Only way I would consider using E85 is if the car has never had premix used in the gas tank.

I'm not really looking forward to how loud it will be or scaring people. I am primary obsessed with the quick reaction time i will be getting from the WG and the decreased back pressure in the exhaust. I have set up the WG to react quickly.

All premix is not created equal. Fail.

I never personally had a problem with premix on E85 but we were using a vp oil and sonoco fuel other people in Australia are using it with various other premix oils and caltex E85 as it is taxed at a lower rate than 98 ron fuel about $1.08 per litre.
What fuel do most of you boys run is the USA ??????
Thanks

We measure octane different over here, I forget what the conversion is. It depends what state you live in, here everyone uses 91 octane and some places 93 is available.

Yep. Only one that works to my knowledge is caster (sp?) based stuff like the nitro guys use in R/C cars.

93 here is very close to their 98 I do believe. E85 isn't readily available everywhere. I do know that here in the middle of the country. E85 is at about 20-25% of the gas stations and the different stations are split between having 91 or 93, but there are a few places like Quiktrip that always have the higher octane. There is also a lot of corn in endless fields that make you fall asleep while driving past it with some cows here and there for flavor.

Working in the power sport industry I assure you there is a big difference in quality in 2 stroke oils, mainly cheap stuff has a tendency to bead together and separate. This causes stuff to gum up pretty bad, stick with hi quality synthetic stuff, I only run Motul 800 in my car and there is no carbon buildup and it mixes real good.

Cool story bro.

The compressor inlet hits the engine mount bracket no matter how you position the turbo and we cannot get the turbo manifold to turbo V band to seal. Fixes will have to be performed. We took a break for a tuning weekend with Kane and he even helped in trying to get everything situated but even with his help it just wouldn't go. Back to the grill again.

There is some quality work there but that work is washed out by the components that were rushed and half assed. Very disappointing.

Maybe you should just take the kit off and try to get a refund from turblown, or sell the damn thing (the kit that is); sounds like its not worth the trouble at this point...

Do you think the reason the flanges will not seal up is because the engine mount is touching? Sorry to hear about the trouble, hopefully it can get resolved without sending it back.

Some components of the kit will be sent back. This kit is a huge pain in the *** but will be worth it in the end after all is said and done.

One cannot simply expect everything to simply come together when doing a build like this. I hope he can come up with something better for the engine mount and oil lines this go around.

Yes, I think that is the reason. It mounted up fine with the engine out of the car but with everything in an the weight on the engine mount bracket it just doesn't work. It flexes quite a bit, no big surprise there.

It can be fixed and hopefully it does get fixed quickly. It's a decent kit, it just wasn't well thought out entirely or finished properly. But with a proper engine mount bracket and proper coolant lines it should be good to go.
