Those with the AEM Water Meth System. Question
Hey guys/girls I have a question for anyone who runs the AEM Water Meth System. I think I narrowed down my possible parasitic draw problem and have a question for those of you with the system. Currently my Meth tank and pump are located in my trunk. The question I have is related to the diagram attached. There is a red + power wire coming from the pump as well as the controller . Do those of you who run this system have this hooked to a switched power source? I have my current + power from the pom going directly to the battery and i feel like its always on the pump at least.

I have the master switch up front. But the power + from the motor is hooked up directly to the battery with a fuse block and i think its drawing power even when off and draining the battery. My car wont last a day and a half without being driven....my first idea is its the way the pump is hooked up...

to find out, in the quite place, youput the key on the ignition position, and turn on the master switch for the pump, you will hear the pump working. then, you turn it off themaster switch, you will not hear anything....at least that's what i did, and i didn't hear anything from the pump when i switch it off. try it...you can hear the pump working

^So your power + is on a switched circuit or constant voltage? My car does not have seat warmers so im not aware of what type of power that is. IS that circuit still present if you do not have warmers?
Steve So you have a red wire and your normal positive battery wire attached to your battery in the trunk? I have something draining my power or a possible short in my car somewhere i really think its the motor to the pump. I can hear it buzz if i take the red positive + wire on and off the battery regardless of is the switch is on or off...im confused.

NGO thats what I thought. Ill be there Steve. Do you have an image of what your batterly looks like in your trunk how things are connected? Is there a switched source in the trunk im assuming for audio.

According to the schematic it is supposed to get constant 12v. But with assuring you wired it according to that it is hard to help you.

all rx8 are wired for seat warmers whether they have them or not.
I see the instructions but I dont like that constant voltage thing.
But I see you are running a boost safe device. That is really not needed unless you are tuning for the water meth?
Just using it for insurance/cleaning purposes, your engine should not blow if it is under boost and the spray stops?
My led light just shows pump on or off--nothing variable
I try to use the KISS rule whenever I can.
