Spark Plugs with Greddy Turbo Setup

Hey all, I just joined the club here but have been a Rx-8 ower since June 04..... I was wondering.... cause I just ordered my greddy turbo kit for it, if you changed the spark plugs on the motor when you installed the turbo kit.... And if you did what kinda of spark plugs did you go with..... thanks all help would be greatly appreciated.....

I put in a set (2) of NGK RE8A-L spark plugs for the leading slots (bottom). It is one heat range colder. I think at stock boost levels it is not really necessary but anything for the cause of safety as it will help lessen the chance for detonation. I got it from a poster on the board (thanks IZoomZoomI), but you can get them from Can Zoomer

Thanks for your service. Also I would get your gauges before you start assembly of the kit. And a gauge pod or bracket to hold them. If you want all your ducks in a row before you start putting it together.

I bet the camel spiders are pretty dormant this time of year. Of course I wouldn't know, because I am always there in the damned summer(03 and 04). Just like this year, as I'll be going back in July. Stay safe over there, RJ.

I didn't mean for this thread to turn into a Camel spider topic...

So now back to our regularly scheduled thread..

I would highly recommend that you NOT use Nology spark plug wires. We have had a few posters melt down their plugs using the Nology wires before. I have the Racing Beat wires, and they have been pretty good.

Don't understand what you are saying here. But personally I have a set of plugs that are one heat range colder than stock, and I have the Racing Beat spark plug wires.

It's 2:30 AM here right now so I don't feel like writing but I hope I remember tomorrow to give a little input into heat range.
