SFR Turbo reviews, hearsay, warnings,regrets

I did some searching and googleing and didn't find much.Im really interested in the kit i found here and I was wondering if anybody knew anybody who has it and if there is anything i should know before purchasing it. How does it compare to other turbos brands? To me it seemed like this was the best price/performance option I just need a second opinion.

http://www.turbo-kits.com/rx-8_turbo_kits.html

its the top choice, the SFR turbo kit for 5695.

If you wanted to ask someone specifically that owned the kit. WantedTwo has it on his car, he would be able to provide first hand exp.

If you can make me the turbo kit that gives me around 350-400 HP ill be happy. In fact id be 100% sold on your kit lol how possible is that? It looks nice. What about pricing? Would it be significantly more than the SFR kit?

I think you really, REALLY need to take a step back and ask yourself what you're doing. I'm not being an ***, but by the sounds of it, you want a fast car, no questions asked.
Do you know what it takes to run a turbo? If something goes wrong, can you troubleshoot the issue?
Unless you have money burning a hole in your pocket, I'd say that you should research a LOT about each specific turbo, and decide which makes the best for your needs.
I'd hate to see someone pay a lot of money on something, and then start a thread a few months down the road stating that it broke...

Well, he wouldn't be the first to dive into turbocharging without researching. He will learn.

with all respect, it's better for you to wonder around little bit in the forum, find out about other's experiences.
Turblown.net made beautiful kits for RX8, and they have one that produced above 350 whp with low psi.
MM made some tubo kits too, adn other people too.
i think it's the best for you to do research first...

try looking at your own inner h8r and stop making excuses for MMs lame excuses on not having already resolved this 2+ years later, any other vendors here have been fried mercilessly for less

sure, if you ignore that we're a community here and that it's unreasonable to keep reminding him and everyone else of the situation. Am I an MM h8r or a guy who sticks up for the people getting the shaft? Funny how you don't stick up for the other vendors with the same rethoric. I didn't say anything about this for a long time.

2+ years = no mercy now. A few moved on to different cars now. Inexcusable by any reasonable standard.

you keep saying i'm sticking up for MM, i'm doing nothing more then calling you out for trolling.

and that phrase "long time", i don't think it means what you think it means.

you keep saying I'm trolling, but the only reason I'm being so hard is because I consider him my friend regardless, you have no knowledge or understanding of my personal dealings with him, long time or otherwise

it's really easy, just conclude the final kits and this all goes away, otherwise it continues to fester ...

which BTW, thanks for the bumpage dragging it out support

ok, i just try to focus on the topic....which is SFR Turbo reviews, hearsay, warnings, regrets

i had mazsport type 1: my opinion that it's good set up. i like the manifold, but after looking at turblown, i lke that one more LOL....but i never regret to have one of mazsport turbo. nice finish and clean.
now, i had the engine built ported and changing to top mount...i haven't had ny regret either, and it's mazsport type 3 top mount,..LOL...i love the set up..

ok ok, we are not talking about the VENDOR, we are talking about the turbo set up itself and our experiences toward the turbo, not the waiting time,...LOL...

An 2004 RX8 with a SFR Turbo

In an earlier post I mentioned a Car & Driver article. That was not the SFR kit. It was a PTP kit.
