it's difficult to hit 300 on the greddy, so you usually don't need to bother getting larger injectors.

there is much more to detonation than psi /timing and a/f ratios. those are very important no doubt--just dont forget all the other things--and as everyone has been saying there is no safe psi of boost.

/\ true but past a certain point with the Greddy does seem to be problematic so staying under 9psi will avoid a lot of that

we're going to assume the car is properly tuned.

assuming you're using a properly sized turbo, you should be able to hit 350 whp without much problem. Several have gone to 400, but I personally won't venture that far because of what I precieve as longevity issues.

Fixed - and really good question... I don't think anyone knows yet for sure.

Here is a real brain teaser...

Will it be the ports that get overwhelmed? Will it be the Dowel Pins / E-shaft / rotor / housing / spark plug threads... etc.

Force moves in all directions - at what point does the FORCE of the ignition event (low order explosion) overwhelm the motor? At what FLOW does the motor cease to be able to draw any more air in; or push it out? What is the next weak link? - Seals?

No one really knows... that is half the fun!

It's an open question whether or not it's possible to get 100k+ miles out of a turbocharged Renesis making >= 300WHP; even if it is tuned to perfection.

Pushing the boost up is asking for trouble, IMHO.

Either way, expect to need a new engine long before 100k miles.

Exactly.
Though, I have heard that the glovebox latch is prone to failure at the same point.

Well, you shouldn't be towing a skateboarder at those power levels, anyway!

Only in the morning.

That is why I keep emergency services on speed dial.
You haven't lived until you see an EMT use the "Jaws of Life" on a deeply embedded thong.
