Congrats. I keep getting delayed with bullshit, it's getting frustrating. I tried clocking my turbo to get the coolant lines orientation right but the inlet side would not budge so I sent it back to the builder (in NY) to get situated.

I also have to get another IC bracket made, one of mine is rusted to hell.

I have searched around and gotten my self confused. I am looking to get the oil restrictor and have seen 3 different sizes on the forums. (.65, .46,....)

What size to go with and wheres the best place to purchase.

No problem, I got the size from a post from MM saying he has used a .065" restrictor on all his turbo's and has never had a problem. Let me see if I can find it again lol

either of those sizes will work. if that 0.065" one fits the greddy turbo and oil line, it will be fine.

.065 is what I run as well, no drama's

I would imagine they are probably both close enough.... but when in doubt go with what people have used for a long time.

shouldnt lowes or home depot have these? I am going to go take a look this week, I dont see the point in paying 14 for the restrictor and then paying the shipping too.

funny you say that. Kyle and I went there and they said that they did not carry them. Perhaps they are not known as oil restrictors, is there another name for them

Looking for feedback here.... I have hooked up the gauges to be ready for install and I am bit put off by the numbers that my boost gauge reads (this being vacuum only atm). At idle my gauge reads -9. The car pulls hard NA and the afr is perfect. I cant figure out why this is happening. I will be hooking up a vacuum test gauge when I get home this evening, but until then if any of you might have a clue as to what is happening please chime in.

I have prosport digital series gauges.

oh and another thing. The greddy profec spec II reads the same thing that the boost gauge sees, which makes me want to rule out any kind of wiring issues ( I could be wrong here).

The way that I have everything plumped, off the UIM bottom nipple (VFAD) goes to a T then from the T one line goes to the boost solenoid, the other around the fire wall, through the door jam (no kinks) and into the glove box, attaching to the BC.

Have you had a compression test of your motor? Low vacuum doesn't necessarily mean a failing motor. Although mine was one of the lowest at the Texas 8 when I tested about 5-6 cars and two others that tested low ended up failing.

No CEL?

no relevant CEL. I am going to check for vacuum leaks but with a smooth idle I doubt I have any.

I would run a can of BG through it and drive it hard and see if it improves at all.

you sure it isn't reading in psi? -9 PSI is equivalent to 18 inHg
