Right hand drive turbo installation

Finally got all the parts from SFR for the RX8 we're building for the track. Now we have a major problem. The turbocharger down pipe is not suitable for right hand drive models and will have to be remanufactured or moved.

the following questions arise.

1. can one move the steering rack by 15 to 20 mm to the right of the vehicle to allow more clearance? What effect will this have on the steering?

2. can one change the down pipe from a 76mm round pipe to an oval pipe that will fit with the approximately 45mm clearance available, and what effect will manufacturing such a pipe have on the turbocharger and exhaust gas flow?

We are considering taking the stock down pipe, pressing it oval to allow it to fit, and perhaps changing the header end piece to allow more clearance.

Anny suggestions/photographs will help and will be appreciated!

Thank you!
