The 13.5 sec quarter mile isn't that impressive. If they get a good launch and fix the traction issues, they can easily hit 12's.

That doesn't include the HKS EMS, so add another $2k to that. Total of $7k.
Or you could get the InterceptorX and save alittle, but you end up paying more for tuning.

Quote from the article...."The kit doesn’t include an engine-management system, however, so customers can order the $2000 HKS system, preprogrammed by PTP, or attempt the complex tuning process themselves with a different setup."

Hmmm, interesting. Even with the HKS you are going to need to get it tuned for your particular car.
The Interceptor and HKS are the same in this respects. It can come with a great baseline dyno map, but if you want to fully extract it... you are going to need to get it tuned.

Heres the difference though.
How many capable HKS tuners are out there compared to Microtech? Your much more likely to find a microtech tuner who can work with an interceptor-x in your area.

I'm not too familiar about the HKS unit, but i heard it has some interesting functions. I need to look deeper into this.

HKS does not release the software for people to program the HKS F-CON V PRO. Only authorized HKS Certified locations have access to the software and they are limited.

HKS recently released a plug-in for the F-con that will simulate the WBO2 sensor which is pretty cool. No CEL!
