Static rpms are not the best for our engines
is that a modest mouse reference in your user title btw?

Anyway saucey, have you picked up what oils to use with your turbo build? Those ports look cool, any front pics?

No Im not sure just yet Ima going to the builder decide which is best because my very first was using royal purple when the second rear rotor failed and the second was penzoil. So what ever he feels that is best that what I'm goin to run with.

subscribed, i'm thinking about porting as well. You have to post videos when your engine is back together.

They pics will be coming pretty soon as I make the hand off to El this coming week. im just ordering parts and what not so I can be ready for the next stage which is to turbocharge this thing. I will post pics when the engine is all put together.

As far as the turbo manifold I'm going to see if it is possible to have the top mount moved over to the left about and inch and push it back a little bit. I need to take a look at the ecu. There is a company that makes a harness that allows people to move the Ecu, ems to were ever they need it to be, I like to put in in the glove box.l myself and after all said and done get a full wire tuck done one the engine.

All I know this whip is going to be a beast..

Sucks you had bearing failure so much. I have a feeling it was the 5w20...

I've heard people doing just fine on 5w20.

But I'm sure 5w20 and some of the warmer weather in Arizona doesn't mix well

Got a link to this harness adapter? Going to the glove-box sounds like a great idea. I can put the turbo where you want. We are getting things ready for assemble on monday. Photos to come. On a side note I just spoke with another Renesis owner we ported/built an engine for, over 8k miles running strong.

Here is the link for the company called boomslang for the wire harness.
http://www.boomslang.us/

I know the harness is made to spec the price starts off at $250 but 'm not sure how long it may need to be to reach guess i make some measurement when that comes around.

True, but from the UOA's I've seen, oils shear off weight pretty quickly. Like within 1,000 miles. Most of the people that used 10w30 had it shear down to a 20 weight. So I'd rather have a heavier oil, that way when it does shear down, you still have protection.

10w-40 weight with coated bearings will cure all bearing wear issues..

You'll have to relocate the power steering module too.so that's another harness, and then the input to the chassis harness from the ecu that's in the ECU box too. so you'll have to relocate that connector or run another length to it too. I've looked into this. My last quote on just the general harness for the OBD2 on the ECU was something like $350~$400, so you may be looking at around a $600 job depending on how it's done, and if you have to buy everything you need.

Personally, the $350~$400 for just the base harness alone is too much for me to justify it. If you can find the connectors, I'm sure we could make the harnesses at a fraction of the cost.

cott dam: Yea i was quoted ask for 5ft just for a general idea for the ecu to readh in the glove box was $450. I still in the air but i like to do it and run the wiring thru the left fender just to get it out the way of the turbo. it almost hand in hand move ecu creates less piping for turbo manifold. But im like now every mod is dam near $300min

yea, like I said... if you can find the connectors, we can probably make a harness for a lot cheaper. I just haven't been able to find where to buy the connectors.

there are a couple of places were i might go get a transmission if im not able get one over the rx8 for sale section , calledl a few places one i advised him my car will be boosted and they will cover a 6 month warranty even if i mess the gears up on and will replace it for free. which does sound to bad, another place has a year warranty but is like $950.
