It doesn't really serve any purpose other than making your wallet lighter. Even on the Mazda Pro Formula race cars that use the Renesis engine converted to a mechanical throttle body they use the same 70mm throttle blade size.

bit of an understatement, here's mine from several years ago that you probably tried to copy since I never saw anyone try to delete that prior to mine

I still say it's a pointless mod in general, but in racing you do all you can and there are another dozen or so other supporting intake features that go with it that the street crowd makes no effort at.
.

(Not directed at Team) Would not bother unless you at least are willing to change your intake pipe, and recalibrate your MAF/Change the Sensor voltage setpoints. At least unless it is a part replacement and it is dirty, oxy, or carbonized. Might get some extra E-***** power out of it, but cant say it is an upgrade...

Also, that looks pretty damn clean man.

No, I haven't I did this for fun. how should I "copy" you if I don't know what you did?
One of my uncles is a professional mechanist and the other is a professional engine block welder, my first ever throttle job was many years ago when I was 16 that I replace the butterfly of variable venturi carburetor with a bigger size.....
I have done crazy ***** for fun as I have free/ supportive people around.

This throttle body comes to me free with loads of other goodies when purchased my second set, back up Prodrive suspension/ PZ online from another guy.
I would say it is 95% show and 5% go.
My intake is "changed" is it good? yes, how much good? I don't know as I change load **** of stuff together and I can pinpoint one single parameter like having a cold or a bigger airbox entry....

if I accused you falsely and am in error, then I apologize with all sincerity from my heart.

and yes BI, I have a uniquely modified intake system that will operate on an Adaptronic ecu MAP principle, not the factory MAF system; trying to get every last cfm and all the response possible
