if you only have 6K you shouldn't go FI of any kind
think 6K for the SC (even when someone puts their used one up for sale)...another grand in supporting mods...and if you want it done correctly eventually you will need an engine build if it is not built to spec already
honestly people on a budget should just stay away from FI
it should be done right or not at all and if you can't afford it you will wind up in a tight spot eventually

Dang Levi--you are learning arent ya?
to the OP---there is nothing like a boosted rx8 out there. It totally changes the car and once you have it and it is settled--I repeat--nothing else like it.
Unfortunately it does not stop there. To properly maintain a boosted RX8 requires some commitment. More freq maintenance is required and if a system such as fuel injectors or ignition starts acting up then you could loose an engine.
To tell you the truth it is not an engine that is designed for boost easily. The short block part LOVES boost, but the intake side with multiple valves and staged fuel injectors just makes it so much more complicated.

Lol--you can just buy my car?
Question to all--if i upgraded my oem red fuel injectors to the oem greens, would I have to retune or would the pcm have enough compensation to deal with the 10% increase in size?

If anyone here can help out let me know. It would be greatly appreciated.

Also has anyone installed the larger pulley who would be willing to part ways with the 8psi pulley?

I dont have those parts but maybe I can offer a little advice?
I stopped using an a/f gauge.
I do run the Cobb to check them, but I was running the innovate lc1--its a great a/f gauge/system but it never showed me anything useful at all. Plus I have to replace the sensor yearly as they burn out. Now I do track some--so that may have something to do with it, but they will burn out anyway.
I just hook my Cobb up from time to time.
Air temp charge gauge--Prosport has one--it is not expensive. BUT. here is a hint--get a bigger cooler for the air water intercooler and then just use a water temp gauge to monitor the coolants temp. Here is the one I used--

I got it from "Frozen Boost". It is not really expensive and it just fits right behind the front support beam. It does not block radiator flow--it is only 1.5 inches thick.
The Cobb also can be used to monitor the IAT.
It is VERY good to put a true cold air intake on the car--it makes a huge difference in post blower temps.
Kudos for going back on boost.
One day I need to list my build.

I'm an A&M Aggie alum....so you may not want me tuning your car. HAHA, I kid.
But seriously, Baseline is rolling along, and then everyone should be good to go! I'm going as fast as I can, now that the Army is done moving me, its going quick. We are doing final math approval this weekend.

Thanks Man...
BTW I'm leaning towards having a semi local shop (KDR -aka- Speed1) in PA install the SC. I was going over the install PDF and that wiring situation looks difficult. My question is; the shop said they can tune the car via Interceptor X. Is this a good Idea? or should I go with the baseline from Pettit?
