Is that with or with out a cell phone?

Probably doesn't matter.

One of the things that has shocked me most is, after talking with "normal" people over the years, that most find driving "boring" and use it as time to catch up on other things!
There really is a sense amongst the riffraff that driving is nearly "automatic" and that, even though they are the driver, they approach the task as a passenger.

Plus the notion many people have that "multi-tasking" is a good thing and that they are masterful at it. Mutli-tasking behind the wheel while not being very good at it anywhere and being delusional about it in the first place is not a good combination.

Well the new cars are not helping any.

With infared sensors for active crusie control and automatic parellel parking, plus the DVD in the front dash to watch your favorite Movie or TV show.

I may never buy a new car again. This one already does too much stuff for me.

ok OSCD...you wanted more info!!

since mine was the first commercial install...we had a little bit more plumbing to do...2 trips to the pep boys and one to home depot...
the MAFS that cam sent out to be made were done incorrectly...consequently we had to fabricate one on our own....we used the factory maf from my old air box...made a coupler (my home depot trip) and added a new K&N...
I still have a CEL cuz im runnin a straight pipe...im having the cat put back on friday and will keep it on for around 2k or so...dont know if i'll switch back...will decide that at a later date...

no decel pops....my wideband is reading where its supposed to be.....the idle is smoother than a factory 8...

the drivability................no words to describe......

Moon was great..bound and determine to finish the car even in the bad weather...
he is an asset to the pettit organization...

Shouldn't it be possible to get the PCM to ignore certain parameters, like the cat efficiency threshhold, and never turn on the CEL? I wonder if re-flashing can do that?

They belong on a bus so the driving doesn't get in there way.

Good for Chuck(he is a really nice guy). I think my cat is wasted now as I am getting a 420 CEL, probably from using the different injection oils that I have been.

Munche, is it X-Mas for ya yet?

Congrats on the Flash.

No need for a CAT. Leave it off. It will be one less thing to worry about. My CEL light has come on twice in 5k since the flash. It goes away on it's own.

You will get flames now when you shift at the higher RPM WOT. Only thing that bugs me is YOU DON'T DRIVE YOUR RX8 ENOUGH!!!!!!!!

I'll follow up after the holidays when they are open again. I'll shoot out a mail today to be sure they get it. Sorry about that. I triple-checked to make sure they had your address correct.

Catless exhausts and power-adders=nice flames that scare ricer kids in the next lane.

SWEET WORDS! Thanks for the feedback. On the midpipe issue--Scott at Mazsport has a double resonated one that is almost as quite as the system with a cat. makes them on demand.
On the maf pipe?? Whats up with that? I already placed the oem maf pipe on my intake system and found a 3"K&N filter that fits and all i had to do was to run the mafpipe up in the filter more to clear the front. That way i can keep the same distance of the tube also. I have been wondering about the Revi maf pipe i have and using the velocity stack with it---just to smooth out the airflow for the maf.

GLAD yours is working well----MERRY CHRISTMAS!! COME ON JANUARY !

the maf that was on my car (originally installed with the blower) was too small in ID to work with the flash..
thats why we had to make a MAF....i will be changing this out when the new MAFs come in...

PS....gap your plugs at 35 per pettit rec.....it will help with your coil burnout....using the x attributes to early burnout...
im putting in new plugs (denso iridiums - gapped at 35)

I'm not even going to address the obliquity of the Int-X burning coils, but exactly how are you going to gap RX-8 plugs?
Denso doesn't make an iridium RX-8 plug.
They make RX-7 iridium plugs (which are a waste of money because platings like iridium, platinum and such are for longevity, not performance), but you wouldn't put those in your car, would you?

So, she has gone to an RX-7 plug with a beam (bad idea for FI in general), and gapping it down because the OE coils won't last long enough on the Int-X?
Is that correct?
