Olddraggers adventure in FI

Juan called me again--great guy. Helped me some by telling me to do the pcm clear thingy with the riverdance brake pedal technique. Got that down, got all vacuum lines snugged tight with worm gear clamps. hot gun glue, saran wrap and super glue(jk yall) and I fired that mother up. Good start, running well with slightly fast warm up idle. No sc belt clatter heard. so I filed a flight plan with the family, made sure the cell phone was charged, gave them my eta back and took off
Warmed her up good, stopped and bought fresh gas, old cold pepsi, and headed to the car wash. Washed her good, started her back up and all is good.
OK, now she is bright and shiny with fresh gas, new oil and the twinscrew whine coming out from underneath the hood---life is good!
the road clears, dont see any law, no kids around, no houses around, no road kill in view, and no other cars. get the picture?
She is feeling good, so I slow down to about 30mph drop her in second gear and let her loose-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------h
OH YEA BABY--THIS IS WHAT IT IS ALL ABOUT!!
I go to 3nd (shifting at 8K) and holy friggin bat farts--it is even better than 2nd!
I shift quick to 4th at 8K
STOP, STOP, STOP !! 4th is as strong as 3nd!! I back off quick--getting too fast for this road. i hit the brakes with a big ole grin on my face, go home, hug my wife, kiss the dog and chase the kids around the house! (I think i got that right?)
My baby is back, bigger and better than ever before.
Speed is easy in this car now--very easy.

Wow, sounds like a great upgrade. I'm going FI this spring and was wondering if any of you SC guys have also been in a Turbo RX8? Can I get an honest comparison without starting WWIII. If not, then don't worry about it. I'm considering this kit, PTP and Esmeril. Whichever kit I get, it will be installed/tuned at PTP Austin. They'll tune anyone's stuff and admit there's more $$ in the install/tune than selling their kit.

That was hilarious OD and welcome to the club. You will also notice that you don’t need to downshift from 6th to 5th while cruising at 70-80 mph. All you have to do is stomp on it. I advice you to get used to the extra power before driving it like you stole it cuz you might end up in a pond like someone I know.

Can I bring my Bridge Ported 13B R100 (all motor) to the race? On a strait line of course. Now, that is old school

Why don't you ask that question in the Major Horse Power forum. You have a group here that is biased.

You will of course get world war three started. Best to just read what has already been discussed.

Yep, I spend a lot of time there too. I do a lot more reading and searching than posting.... as my post-count shows I'd like to hear from someone who's been in a turbo'd RX8 after SC'ing and what the impression was.

Anyone up for a roots type sitting on top of a flat head ford motor sitting in a highboy? It wont turn and it wont stop but it will go like hell!
Now Charles car and the sc/ai car hmmmm --that would be a good run on the drag strip..
I WANT A PETTIT CAR SYMBOL TO PLACE IN THE GRILL/TRUNK

Does the extra 30whp come from a different flash and the A/I, or is there only one flash??

There are a couple different flashes which depend on the year of the car.

They all will give the same result.

They all have been tested.

The flash with the A/I is the same.
