Pettit Racing Series II Supercharger kit questions

Hello,

I have been searching a while and come up with some questions I can not seem to figure out. I have a 2009 manual RX8 that I am considering FI for and found the pettit racing kit. I have read and read and have three questions:

Is there still a production kit for the series II RX8 and if so is it only the Stage II kit? (I would be more interested in going down a notch not up I know)

What does the Pettit Racing PCM-AN Recall kit accomplish when dealing with the kit and does will I need additional engine management?

Is there more than the kit I would need? I am confident that I could it given it is a bolt on kit (I have swapped motors in my rx7 in the past) but looking at the cost benefit for this. 6-8K sure 12K... not so sure.

If this has been covered in detail in some post adjacent to mine I apologize and certainly let me know. A lot of info I have found is dated to the series one and I am new to the 8s and a little confused still. Thanks!

The answers to your questions are in the Pettit Racing thread. There is a search feature in threads which will make finding what you need a lot easier.

I just realized I posted in the wrong section. Sorry for that. If anyone else has a response other than RTFM... any useful information is much appreciated. Thanks

wow...I thought I was being nice by giving you the actual thread that can answer your questions. Next time do not be such a tool when receiving help.

Thank you for your help. I don't mean any harm. I just take offense when I have searched and not found answers and get a quick link to a VERY large unstructured thread with some information but a lot of noise much like we are doing with this right? Please forgive my misunderstanding of your direction and if this turns out to be a useless thread lets drop it as it adds nothing to the community. I apologize I took my frustration out on you. I am far from a tool but I can see you POV. Thanks

I called them today and got a lot of useful info. Thank you for your reply. They are doing some work with electric SC kits he said and he explained the recall kit. Very nice to talk to. I have some direction now.

Pettit is working on a electric S/C kit? Interesting. Did they say for which car?

He didn't specify which series. I recall it as "We are doing a lot of experimenting with electric super chargers as the technology in that space keeps getting better."

So take that for what little its worth but I got my answer which is wait. I am just going to throw on my RB cat back that is on the way, throw in a K&N filter on the stock airbox, and maybe toy with the DIY mod. Then drive it! Hopefully there is a new FI kit for both cars in the near future. I would ideally want something low profile, simple, and reliable with a 30-40 HP gain. We will see in time.

Thanks for the help on this everyone.
