I have a Mazsport Type I kit with Precision Turbo T62 with a Tial 44mm wastegate, and Greddy Type RS BOV.

 

Do you have a build thread?

 

No I don't. Unfortunately I paid a local shop waaaaay too much money to do it and the kit needed a few custom made pieces, a new turbo... I'm not happy at all about the whole situation, but I plan on making a thread about my experience. The shop didn't really know how the ECU works 100%, so they struggled with tuning it. I just can't believe how damn fast it is now and how much torque it added. The tune needs some smoothing out...

 

Hey guys, I know its been ages, but if someone is still maintaining this list, you can remove blackenedwings from the list. I reverted my Shinka to natural aspiration now that I have a built Evo IX with a rollcage. I'll be keeping the Shinka, but I'm giving it to my wife who is currently driving a 4-port auto. I'll probably make a for sale thread for the Satan's Hairdryer (3071R) at some point. Hope everyone is doing well.

 

Damn if that 3071R doesnt go up for sale until this summer I would show some interest... that is a MM customized one correct?

 

Yup, fabricated backplate, wastegate actuator etc. Fits on a GReddy manifold. I was running ~315 rwhp at 11 psi. I'll be selling everything individually or in a package pretty cheaply. Haven't paid much attention to the RX-8 since I started modding the Evo.

 

Yeah I'll clean it up when I get back from deployment this week. THings are too hecktic right now to worry about it.

 

I suppose its time to take me off the list as well

No I don't. I wasn't comfortable doing the install so I had a shop in town do it. Damn I wanted to make the list! Can I just take a bunch of pictures and talk about what I have?

 

Okay well Again... I'm in school and until I'm working for the summer I can't afford it.... but come summer time I would be very interested in purchasing the turbo and other components to fit the MM upgrade to the GReddy kit. I would have liked to buy the MM kit from the get go but from what I understood Jeff was having troubles with a machinist or something like that and wait times for the kit were really long so I went with the base GReddy kit.

How many miles are on the turbo?
