pretty cool ... can you post pics of manifold, piping, intercooler, etc? pic of underhood with plastics off ?

MM, Brettus, Flashwing, you guys are rough ... I am curious to see what this kit really is before bashing the numbers they are reporting ... granted, I agree with you

Agreed.

I don't know how au fait he is with forum rules for vendors but no doubt plenty of people in here will tell him.

They sound like a good company and they should be welcomed with open arms here .
But

Factual information ...... 209kw at the wheels = 450hp (or whatever it was) at the flywheel is so uterly ridiculous it invited the response they got .

What is with you Mazfix ?
i wonder how this will be seen by those responsible. reference to status 3X's seems a bit much to be just sharing info

and 3X's making a fool of yourself. mistakes are no biggie, but after some correction to blindly keep stating that like you believe it is even possible make you look like you really are here just trying to flip a product, and/or that you dont have a clue. that may indeed be what the equipment says, but that doesnt mean you have to ignorantly stand behind it. calibration is wrong, use is wrong, or its just made up.

if the lab equipment told you that your Airsoft or pellet gun was producing muzzle velocities of 750,000,000 feet per second, you gonna be dumb enough to tell potential customers who know better "thats what the machine says" with no explanation or caveat?

god i didnt want to jump in this one, but this is just idiotic.

(i dont want to run these guys off at all, but for them to be seen as anything but a waste of time, untrustworthy, unreliable - this needs to be fixed up)

While I see what you're saying, it's not completely unwarranted either. If someone makes claims we know are impossible, then I would hope that the people who run an enthusiasts performance shop would also catch this. In fact, I would hope they're more precise with their numbers than the average rx-8 club user. I don't know the exact drivetrain loss, but it wouldn't be hard to figure out and I could tell from looking at those numbers that they were incorrect.... by a fair amount.

You have to agree that there has to be a point where someone deserves to be criticized for their claims. What if they claimed 500 hp at the flywheel? 600? 700?

My only issues with these threads is the fact that there's incorrect information that the average 8club member could point out. If you're going to push a product (or just talk about it for the benefit of the community), try harder to make sure your information is all correct. I'm sure they're nice guys and are trying their best to expand the good options for the community, but their posts definitely make them look bad.

i appoligize for the error in my original post. all video's have been edited. It was not my intension to mislead anyone nor am i posting these videos to sell our product. at this stage we only offer our turbo package as a drive in drive out deal and not supply only. I was merely posting this to show all you guys over there in the states what us aussies can do, as it turns out were not very good at posting items on a forum hahahaha.

If i upset anyone i appoligize again, and hope we can now move on.

The reason it has taken me 2 days to get back to editing this is due to our current work load. i made 10mins the other day to edit the video and upload it and have not really had a chance to fix my errors.

Happy Rotoring . . . . .

Brock, my opinion isnt worth its weight in salt as i'm preparing to sell the car. But FWIW I dont think anyone would hold it against you for making an error in your post. I think it would be a good thing to get your name out more and see if you could stir enough interest to export something. But by failing to acknowledge your dyno's BHP calculations being obviously and massively wrong just makes you look bad.

I have no doubt that you know better and I understand if your time is precious, but you have to think about the way anything you post can be percieved. In this case, it could be detremental to drumming up export business as it makes it appear you dont really know what you're talking about. It also puts questions in ppls minds about "how good the down under guys" really are, since you specifically make such a reference.

are you illiterate? just in case you're not, i'll repeat it just for you.

it was never about any error or mistake in any math or calculation he made.

it was entirely about the fact that he stood up a total of like 5 times across 3 threads to defend the outrageous and incorrect flywheel HP numbers with the statement "As far as the flywheel horsepower goes, that figure is calculated on our new Dyno Dynamics Chassis Dyno"

if you do not understand that, it's no wonder you have the reputation you do, ******* douchebag

if you were, then your dumber than even I thought...

i dont give a flying **** if it is fixed now or not. the important thought that i wanted the OP to take away was to THINK about something before they post something that is total nonsense(and then repeatedly stand behind it until the error is made blatently obvious). otherwise they may be looked upon as idiots who cant understand simple principles... kinda like you and this conversation

Jesus H. Christ... this is the kind of **** that is gonna ruin the forum... some out of nowhere punk coming in to join the fight and save the day. Never catching on that its not about a mistake in numbers, its about being mindful of what you post, because ppl will judge you based on that. And the community could use more options/vendors. But he has to be viewed well for that to happen. What i said initially was nothing complicated and i am positive it wasnt "news" to the OP. I was simply pointing out a simple idea, and like so often happens some caped crusader who doesnt even understand the posts apparently has to turn it into a debate.

Fulk salt, what a imbicile

rx8speciale has managed to thread crap this thread more than all of the flamers combined! Congratulations on missing the point and continuing an argument that wasn't actually taking place anymore!

I'll try to put this as simple as possible, as it seems that paul's method of writing might be complex for some people:

-original problem was the quoted power numbers.
-numbers were defended, then corrected and all was good
-it was pointed out that, while the numbers were fixed, it's still good to be sure your posts come across how you want them. In this instance, people could have drawn conclusions about the quality of their business as a result of the mistakes, regardless of whether or not they were corrected

As a legitimate and good company, mazfix should be perfectly fine with defending themselves. They'll still get respect, we were just making a point to make sure they have everything sorted out before posting information, as to avoid looking unprofessional. I think everyone in this thread has reached an understanding, with the exception being rx8speciale.

thank you 8 maniac, you said it much better than i did, even though i tried multiple approaches

and +1 to what Brettus said. the forum can use another vendor, technical resource, or whatever capacity you would like to fill.

Pretty much. They made the mistake of trying to BS the wrong people.

You know, like the guy that walks into the car meet and says his civic with fart can and stickers runs 10s. Sure his wasnt quite that extreme, but BS is BS. ESPECIALLY when you are selling something.
