Hey Hymee, I'm having so much fun with you guys and your runon words with bastard in them that I wonder if you can get me an appliction to become an honourary Ausie?

Edit) I just checked with your embassy here and they said NO.
In a nice way but still they said NO.

Sure, here's the quick test

1. What was Donald Bradman's batting average?
2. What is the key difference between Rugby League and Rugby Union?
3. Who are Roy and HG?
Now they get a bit harder
4. What was the greatest horse never to with the Melbourne Cup?
5. How many beers between Darwin and Tennant Creek (and what colours)?
6. How big is a Darwin stubby? and finally,
7. What is the original "bastard" product, what does it do, and where do you get it?

Sorry Hymee, a bit of a thread hijack, but ya gotta keep em entertained during the development phase

Richard - you bend the truth. I heard the embassy actually told you to "pissoffyabastard". :D

But if you really are a mate of Alan Jones, it will count in your favour. Now that just gave you some more credibility!

Cheers,
Hymee.

Damn, you guys really stick together. That guy at the embassy must have called you right away. That's what I get for being nice to him and sugar coating what he said.
I forgot to drop Allan's name when I spoke to them, do ya really think it will make a difference.

Timbo, I notice you didn't ask me about Allan Jones. The only question I could have answered.
Isn't there a book I can study from? I mean a supprise quiz and no time to hit the books isn't fair. I got a flat 0 on the test. Even Motor vehicals gives you a book to work from.
Yournosportsmanyoubastard. May you swim in Fosters beer.

Cheers,

Cunny funt? LOL
Smart feller. :o
j/k...
And, oh yeah Hymee, about Rotarenvy's observation... that reminds me of the two things that a plumber must learn and how they apply to this here thing...
1) Oil, like other things, flows downhill.
2) Payday's on Fridays. Uh, well, one out of two aint bad.

And, Timbo? I got a zero too... unless of course, the answer to #7 is the everlovin' Hymee superbastardcharger, complete with that bastardbox thingie on top. Guess I better be happy with a "tourist" credential. And, yes, I would be very happy to be a tourist downunder right now. Darn winter's kickin butt around here now... Went from highs in the 70's to highs in the 40's in 2 days. Brrrr..... cold sux...

Update...

Tomorrow we are going to do a trial fitment of some of the parts in my engine bay, and also take some more measurements for more of the bits thaty need manufacture.

So I should be able to post some picts

It would be nice if it was going to be running!

Cheers,
Hymee.

Hymee hopefully your Supercharged RX8 will be the second Mazda offered with a Twin screw type Supercharger as was the Miller cycle Eunos M800.

"Hymee, will that fit under the hood / bonnet?"

I'm glad you asked.

Today we did a trial fitment of the blower and some of the prototype parts in a car. It was also for measurments etc. that will guide direction of development of packaging some of the other parts still to be made.

I'll let the pictures do the talking...

So positive progress at this stage. The other little bit of news is there is a change we might run this combo down the strip (after the engine dyno work has been done) before it even gets fitted to an RX-8 :D I did say might!!! There is even a chance it might go to the Jamboree in Sydney, March 2005.

Cheers,
Hymee.

Nice fit! The inlet to the throttlebody looks like it is going to be a PITA though.

Lots of PIA's but that is part of the fun I suppose...

Lots harder than fitting a little biddy turbo in

Cheers,
Hymee.

Nice Hymee. And your car is always clean, I hate you.

It's a good thing you sit on the other side of the car.

Very neat and tidy, Hymee. If the performance outcome matches the apearance outcome, this is going to be great

There is a "massive" area if you take the washer bottle out. Thinking of mounting a more generic washer bottle in another spot. Time will tell. The brains trust is working on it. Still going for a liquid/air intercooler.

And about the Throttle Body position, and getting the air to it - that is actually not as much as a problem as it might appear. We are not worried about that bit.

Cheers.
