Rotorocks - I really like your rear mount setup . Do you think it is possible that it is kinder on the engine than a turbo mounted off the manifold .

A remote turbo setup definitely puts less latent thermal stress on the motor.
A big problem with a GReddy-style setup is the heat put into the #2 rotor housing and intake tract.
Whether this amounts to anything is up for conjecture, but there is certainly is reason enough to believe that countermeasures must be put into place whenever you hang a 1400°F hunk of iron directly adjacent to a rotor housing.

Most definitely.
What Jeff has just mentioned, and the fact that you potentially get a cooler charge, because of the longer air pipe exposed to directly flowing ambient air, large intercooler, lower engine bay temps... It all ads up.

This is kind of what I was getting at in a discussion comparing SC and turbos a while back - and got jumped on
