sorry gotta put in my $.02 someone said earlier that superchargers r less likely to go out then turbos.............bull$hit, FI no matter how u have it be NOS, TURBO OR SUPERCHARGER, whether its sprayed, blown or boosted....... when u have any type of FI, even the most careful tuner with the best and safest tune on there motor.............still runs the great chance of a blown motor, n honestly im goin FI soon......but u gotta pay to play.........ull run that chance of blowin the motor......which is why theres nothin wrong with goin N/A......at least a better chance ull break 100k on the 8 as apose to FI.........but hey my hats off to u if u can go FI and 100k miles on original motor.......

28,000 hard miles on F/I, 44,000 total on car. Ive read up on some of your comments on S/C vs turbo. The reason that a S/C is better on your engine is the output charge is much cooler then one from a turbo, if you can bring a turbos charge temp down to a simuler temp from an outstanding I/C you have a good start to compare. As for any of the turbo I/Cs ive seen, and are available production built, I havent seen any close for the 8 as cool as the S/C setup were working with. As for any draw backs, the S/C might put more wear on the front crank bearings, only time and milage will tell. Also keep this in mind, as for the 5 or 6 turbo cars that tryed to make it to NC for the dragon this year, none made it. As for both S/C cars from pettit that made the 800 mile trip, mine and Cams, we made it with no problems and drove the crap out of them there and then drove them home at about 80 to 110 MPH.
While I think turbos themself are less reliable than superchargers, but due to the drag superchargers put on the engine a 300hp turbo motor will last longer than a 300hp supercharged motor because the supercharged engine will have to produce and extra 50 or so to drive the blower. This all assuming both system have been properly tuned. We see this all the time with mustangs, people will crack a stock block with 450-500 rwhp on a supercharged motor but other will put out 600 rwhp on a turbo motor before cracking the stock block, but not exclusively.

If mixed with a large amount of synthetic oil, turbons will provide a well lubricated base that will allow for a far superior turbonetical and superchargical qualities.

Yeah, my buddy who knows this other guy, that has a sister or something and her father had put like 20 turbons on the Renesis. With Olive oil, he was putting down like close to 700 WHP on pump gas and stock everything...
