heat shield for Greddy turbo?

so as we all know the greddy turbo is really close to the body flame, and there is some kinda material thatz on the body flame.
and now when the turbo get really hot, itz kinda burning the material and it is smoking or cause a bad burning smell. when i went to the track, smoke even got into the car under neath the glove compartment.
so my question is, does anybody sell a heat shield or know any way of making a heat shield to prevent the burning of the material on the flame?
i know rx7store.com sells the turbo blanket that fits our turbo, but my concern is, will it cause to overheat the turbo??

thanks!!

Look up D.E.I., they make heat sheilding blankets you can put on the chassis as a thermal barrier. I would advise against wrapping the turbo because it's location limits air flow as it is and your seals could be cooked quite easily.
