Yah disconnect them then zip tie them off. It only takes a minute if you got it off the ground. Don't drive around town like that though.

On the pipe entering the throttle body. Most of us (if you look at the pictures of the turbo builds) put in in right before/middle of the pipe that goes into the engine, but I have seen ine where they put it in right after the IC.

haha i love it when people think whomever has the highest dyno hp will always win, cause thats not always the case along with power you need to have the wieght ratio and suspension and traction. i dont think my rx is fast by any means compared to some of the cars ive had before, but the car is quick and handles excellent. and to continue with the thread, i think im just gonna disregard any cel's they are annoying. here are some pics of the bov location, that someone was asking about and another of what i think about cel's :D

hahha its the greddy type R, i initially used the type S but no matter how i adjusted it, it cause my car to stall at dead stops and gave it a sparatic idle. i had the type R laying around so i slapped it on to see if it would help, and it solved my problems, i mounted it that way incase i decide to recirc it. it is a monster though i would have rather went with something smaller but it works so im happy.

I did post a previous dyno of when my car was NA, & now they are finishing up the mods. I could not care less what your dyno looks like. One thing you just don't seem to grasp is this is an RX8 BOARD. If you want to troll around because you have a 350Z, then go to the 350Z board. You said you had an RX8, well that is in the past, get over it, go away. You are no better than the Mustang or Evo guys that go to the 350Z board to compare johnsons. If hp is your thing, then congratulations on your purchase, & time to move on.
i had the turbo and the power was great!!! still, i chose to go back to NA because the rx8 is great car...even in slower mode.
after all, if it was only about HP, we would all have big old V8's, V10's and so on.
btw fred, let us know how your new map works out with your SR cat, etc

So are you geting rid of it primarily because you don't feel like dealing with all of the problems it has? Or is it because it changes the car's feeling so drastically?

ahh **** man i didnt even read all these post, but please get rid of the damn Greddy TYPE R you do not need that. You are not running insane amounts of Psi. I used that when i ran 35 psi in my SRT-4 and that thing bearly made any noise. Get the Greddy type s and you will see a huge difference.

This thread is getting very close to the edge right now. Please bring it back on topic or it will be closed down. Please stop the back and forth insults. I've gone back and cleaned the thread up. Keep it this way.
"no more banning" If you have a bias against the RX-8, then that is your own opinion and right. Please don't start to internet race, challenge, or insult any RX-8 owners here that don't agree with you though. This is a warning. The next one will make your name a false statement.
Fanman, evilbada1, this isn't an official warning but please don't encourage a potentially insulting remark with hostile responses. Just let them go.

Also a new BOV from Greddy, the Type RS. Same price as the Type S, slightly larger, but not as large as the Type R.
And what evilbada1 said :D .

I did not mean to get this off topic.I have only seen 3 dyno charts for FI 8's and this of corse is the lowest. It seems the out of the box tune for the greddy is poor and that was my main comment.
On a side note i dont knock the car in general, but its sad cause it could have been so much better.I feel very cheated from mazda and i think they are getting off easy.Let an american car manufacturer make a car with 160 whp and 16-20 mpg and people would burn them down.Well anyway i dont mind leaving you guys at green lights though.

I think what the ZTard doesn't understand is that dyno numbers are for people who like to measure their dicks.
We're more interested in TRACK TIMES - and the fact of the matter is, the best I've seen a twin-turbo Z put down is a 12.8 - why? Because it has poor traction, **** balance, is heavy, and launches like ****.
I see mid 12s easy from a properly tuned RX-8 with enough boost, and far less horsepower than the Z.

to answer some questions, i didnt take the pic with the girl in it, shes one of my friends fiance and the cusco strut bar is the type OS i have the front and rear and also the cooling panel(dont think this does much, but looks pretty) im a dealer for cusco products but i think you could get them through nukabe automotive (www.napsusa.com) im pretty sure they do retail sales and i think retail is around $165.00. and as far as the bov i posted few pages back about why i have the type R on the car right now, because the type S i have was leaking air at any adjustment so i tried the type R just to see if it would help and it did so im using it right now, i will prob be replacing it with a SARD bov later. and as far as the srt4 running 34lbs and the bov not making anynoise, i think the wrong springs were in your bov, my type R releases at even 0.00 bar. but anyway the type R is hideous and will be removed later after i get several other things.

Anybody notice a/f ratios in the 12:1 range? Just my opinion but I think that's a little on the bold (pronounced lean) side. It would be fat for n/a but Iwould be looking to get it closer to
11:5 to 11.2 to be safer.
