^^YES! That's it!!... Except that I like the brass ones better since they are softer and will form kind of a crush washer when you tighten the hose fitting down on top of it.

All you need to do is Dremel the cone down so it has a flat surface. The cone inside the hose will then seat on that flat surface. That's why brass is better - the hose cone will seat better. I have had no leaks with this setup.

Who makes the brass ones like the one Maddog mentioned? And, I'm pretty much a novice, but if someone can show me a post-dremel photo of the nozzel, and even nicer, an installaiton photo(s).

again, sorry for the troubles.

Okay, found it online:

http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

You NEED to wear down the cone, or can you use it as-is? I wasn't able to find a brass version of this from edelbrock.

I think the inverted one would work the best. Nice find.

I am probably asking a stupid question, but is this not something Greddy should have considered when designing this kit? Have they corrected this issue by chance to where the kit I got a few weeks ago may have had this issue resolved? Please be gentle hehe.

I found a local shop here in Tampa who carries NOS items. They don't have any funnel jets in 0.049", but they're going to order one for me today. So they'll get it in 1-2 days.

If you are having a hard time finding one online (Since Summit racing has none in stock) you can try giving them a call:

Edit:
[deleted]

They told me they don't ship... so you can't buy it unless you're in tampa.

Don't they make "brass oil-line restrictors" that are NPT. It looks like a brass NPT plug but instead it has a little hole in it. I've seen them with .065 openings. Wouldn't that work just the same? I lost my link but I found one online for 15 bucks. I also saw one on ebay for 20 including shipping. Why use a nitrous nozzle when you have to file it down? The NPT fitting screws right onto the feed line.

mike, apparently there is no filing down when you use a funnel jet, instead of a flare... My cost will be about $6 out the door.

I used a nitrous nozzle as an oil line restrictor. They come pre-drilled to very small diameters that you need to do this. Plus, they'll fit just perfectly into the oil line tee, letting the hose tighten down on top of it. You just need to dremmel the conical end down to a flat. Use a brass nitrous nozzle. Its soft enough so that it acts like a crush washer when you tighten down the hose. I doubt the stainless nitrous nozzles would work as well.
So basically i need to do this (see image) to my nozzle)?

Yup that should be it... The Tee joint that come out of the rear rotor housing. Just unscrew the line heading to your turbo and stuff ur restrictor in... I did it when i was changing my engine oil, .

Best route to attack it is from down under

To add more proof, to the topic of necessity of oil regulation, I Just received my Oil feed line which i purchased for my t3 t4 turbo, and found that the flange it comes with is actually pressure regulated.

This is what the manual says:

This flange is flow regulated to prevent bearing cartridge oil seals from blowing out at high oil pressures. The regulator hole is designed with a 1.62mm opening and it can be easily re-drilled with a larger hole to increase oil flow to the turbocharger if necessary. When re-drilling a larger hole, do not exceed 5mm (7/32")

5mm is HUGE. 2mm is too large!
1.62mm is perfect for most normally-sized turbos on a pressurized oil feed.

Oh yeah, no question about it.
They are just saying it because if you go larger you risk blowing away the whole flange. The walls on the nipple will just be too thin.

First off, please look at this photo and verify that I'm looking at the correct line that goes into the turbo:

http://proxy.searchirc.com/turbo/oilrestrict.jpg

The metal line appears to have two hex nuts. If I turn one, the other turns. But the real problem is if I turn them, the entire line turns. Is there a trick on taking this thing out?
