Very few people on this site take their 8 to the drag strip.

It's like taking the prom queen to the city dump instead of the trash ... ... truck.

Are you aware that tracks exist that are somewhat longer than a quarter mile? That have turns and curves and stuff to let people run all out for more than 8-16 seconds at a time?

Here are some pictures that may help:

the reason why i asked for drag timings is so we will be able to know how much has the time improved over a N/A system. now to know that you've gota make a run in a straight line. which would tell you the over all perfomance of the car.

like the 350z,evo,s2000 etc.

std rx8

0 to 60 in 6.5

1/4 in 14 secs

well will a Fi go to as low as 3.2 and 11.5 if so that would be great.

To give you a rough idea
stock rx8 is around 14.7 seconds 1/4 mile and 0-60 is more like 6.5s

Best turboed rx8 renesis to date did 13.1 1/4

That was a few yrs back and no-one has really tried that hard to beat it since . Simply because of the reasons mentioned above .

I believe that a well set up turbo putting out 320ish whp should be capable of getting into the 12s .

I nearly went to the drag strip once, I knew a guy who I wanted to get into Autocrossing so I was going to try the strip if he came autocrossing. I never went in the end though.

Imagine going to the drag strip in an automatic, whats that all about your press the go pedal and wait 15 seconds. Where is the skill in that, drag strips are for fat lazy rich people with no skill.

Mine isn't really a 10 second car, unless its over 300 meters or less.
