Different turbo for Greddy kit possible?

I know mazdamaniac used the T03/T04 hybrid with fabrication.
Since there's no promise other kits will be out in the near future,
I was thinking about purchasing the Greddy kit, then buy the bigger turbo like
MM's hybrid or something Garrett GT series turbo.
What's the max size turbo that can replace the T618Z would fit??
Can even T78, T88 be possible to fit with fabrication?
If I ask mazdamaniac, who has already done this to do it for me, how much would you charge??

i thnk you can change out the compressor wheel in the greddy turbo..but i dont' think anythign big will just "bolt up " to it..also you have to take into account where the greddy manifold has the turbo placed..not a lot of room there. mazdamaniac's t3/t4 is put in at an angle b/c it won't fit in the same position as the greddy....so i do't think you'l be putting any monster turbos in there.

as for how much he'll charge...just pm him..he is resonable D

thanx for the input,,,
i started this thread cuz i believed there might be a plenty of members on the forum
who think Greddy turbo's power output was just not enough for them.
As RG mentioned and the guy in puerto rico proved, the little mitsu T618Z turbo can only
go as far as 300 whp with alot of pushing it...
that's why I was asking if the turbo itself could be replaced on the Greddy kit even with
A LOT of fabrication. I would be happy to find a fabricator who can fit a T78 or a huge HKS
ball bearing turbo in that place.. just my thought..

Don't forget your injectors. There's been a lot of discussion around here of the need for larger injectors when increasing the boost past a certain level.

And there's been some definitive discussion from rotarygod about the stock injectors being able to handle whatever boost you want.

If you are planning on keeping the turbo down with the engine mount a t78 would never fit unless you cut out the floor boards and frame. The biggest turbo would be a GT30. It is a very tight fit.

I have the Greddy turbo, and 7psi is enough for me, for what I intend on doing with it... but there are other options.

I know PTP (Protech) Performance has released their Turbo. There are also a few other companies that are developing one as well. Just give it some time.

You can shoehorn a 20G into the TD-06. Does it make the turbo a T620Z? I know the EVO VIII people are doing similar mods... Correct me if I'm wrong. I was tolf the EVOs use a TD-06 16G.

However, if you can't properly manipulate fuel system... why the bigger turbo? You can verify this with MM. On my older turbo applications I had to upgrade to -6 (or larger) SS fuel lines, use the factory line as the return, fuel pressure regulator, and a LOT OF TUNING.
