why do i see turbo kits on ebay going for like 500? whats the deal with that are they bad quality or what? cause i thought they were supposed to be like 2,500 at least

 

Just a kit of different bends and tubing, no header so you can actually mount it to the engine, no adapter to mate with the exhaust, just generic junk.

Made in China, not that that is a bad thing, but they have horrendous quality problems - thin areas and porosity in the castings, sub-optimal bearings, bad finish and off center borings etc.

But it is a 'turbo kit.'

 

if you can't afford a proper turbo to start then what will you do when the apex seals blow and take out half the engine with them?

 

One more neg, the turbo isn't sized for a rotary engine.
