Fenders have been off since day one, not hard to remove and with the painting and all the engine bay work it just made everything much easier to access.

Idle'd it up today, no CEL's much better idle. yesterday it would stall out if I rev'd it a little. Today no issues, just manually moved the SSV to free it up and solved all my problems.

Now lets get these fenders on and go for a drive

Sleep is not in the picture tonight, once you get this close you don't stop.

Man I forgot how loud this car was, just took her around the block. Never even took it over 3K RPM, should probably bolt up the rest of the exhaust and put the trans cover back on but still. I missed it.

ABS and stab light came on, does anyone know even though I pulled the ABS unit and installed the same unit back in the car. Does it still need to be programed to work correctly?

Figured out no brake light switch, equals ABS problems. Got the new switch installed and it went away. I am getting a strange situation though, I don't think the switch is seated properly. Considering they are one off switches I better not have to buy another one (stupidest design in the world IMO)

Car off key out of ignition, brake pedal pressed

Car running, brake pedal pressed

Interior is all finished, now if I could only get that sharpie mark off my E-brake

Scott, I am seeing oil pressure in excess of 100PSI. Was informed it was not a high concern.

Now just need to fix this oil leak from a bad line on the relocation kit (not really satisfied with the quality of the RR kit to be honest) and my SOHN canister ships this week and I can finally call this project done!

^^^ Equals Beautiful... minus the sharpie lol.... Is that the S2 wheel or did you have it re-wrapped?

I read over the entire thread I was very impressed with your dedication and attention to detail. Do you have a rough idea how much you have put into this project, if I had to guess looks like it would be around the 8k range?

Steering wheel is autoexe, contact Paul
https://www.rx8club.com/mazmart-88/h...-wheel-245201/

8K is on the low side (very low) for this build, Pettit rebuild and S2 trans where about 6K.

I could have gone FI for what I have invested, that will come later

Like just above 100psi? or like 120-130psi? I would not worry about it too much, I never had problems with it when I was NA. My only issue with high oil pressure now is that the turbo is seeing too much oil pressure. But I have a turbo oil pressure regulator coming.

The car looks great man and that RR filter relocation kit uses pretty crap components. I will take pics of the one I am making soon and then if you want, I can make you one too.

It idles around 30-40, but will peak about 120 under throttle. Its not a concern.

Yeah its a small leak in one of the lines, I posted a pic in the RR thread. I fixed the one and now the other is leaking, its where the hose couples to the AN fitting itself. Ill just tighten it up and see if it goes away. Its a small leak, barely noticeable but it gets the sensors and wires coated and pisses me off!

Yeah no leak is a good leak. As for fittings, well generally you get what you pay for. But you don't have to spend a **** load to get nice fittings.

Its not the fittings, the hose ends where assembled wrong. It leaks from the actual braided line connection. Either improperly seating or just not tightened enough.

Thanks for the info! I figured it would be a high number, but I think it will be worth it and now you have peace of mind and one heck of an experience to boot.

One more quick question. I couldnt tell from the pic but what brand gauges are you using?

I personally use glowshift, they are not popular compared to prosport/defi, etc... But I have never had problems with them, and their style is the most ascetically pleasing IMO.

And yes, for those that want to know. I have a boost gauge

I will also say the RB lower gauge pod, has terrible fitment and makes the farthest right gauge almost impossible to actually read. I expected better!

Thread jacker, that pic sold me on this wheel shady. Worth every penny, especially considering the 10 yr old OE one had seen better days.

Yeap, my second favorite mod!

As a side note my greddy relocation Kit leaked as well due to loose fittings.

Yeah the Greddy kit I have is not so great either. It doesn't use real fittings, just push on ss hoses with hose clamps. That is why I am not using it.

Hopefully I can repair mine, as the only shop to carry AN is outrageously overpriced around me

I have not looked in a while but Summit has them and when I was looking to do my kit they were on the lower scale as far as pricing. Being that the main warehouse is in GA should only take a day or two for them to get to you. At the time I was lucky enough to live down the road from them.

I tightened them all up last night and threw teflon on all the sensors, so far so good!

Lets play a game!

Who can name the sound thats on with the ignition, I am pretty sure the sound when the car is running is just the MS CAI.

Also a little update, fab'd up a temporary SOHN reservoir while mine is still getting coated so I could start putting some miles on this engine.

Couple Observations

Cooling mod's defiantly worth it, 50 miles and my temps have not gone beyond 180 yet with temps in the 90's here this week!

Oil relocation kit is a bad place to mount the temp sensor as I barely see temps above 150 which I tend to think is not possible, so I will be looking for another place to mount this eventually.

No CEL's except for the one that I want (damn you midpipe!) car drives like a dream!

Doing the walk of shame after I realized that when I switched out my steering wheels, I put it on slightly off center
