that was reported on this forum long ago, but according to this thread that’s the FD 3rd gear ratio and the RX8 5-spd 3rd gear is what I posted

possible that it may vary by geographic market though like the 6-spd

So I did find a JDM sales brochure that showed it the same as the FD3 1.381 ratio. Not sure if Europe got something different or of that’s bad info ...?

That's better than I'd thought it would be !
Here's mine 14psi at 3900. Don't have a way of logging psi vs rpm though.

For anything larger than a 7163 it would require major chassis surgery and would still be questionable. I’d question getting a 7163 in there even, except one guy did it already. The 7670 is quite a bit larger and longer.

I think the best top mount turbo is going to be the 7670 ........... should be quicker spooling than this and have similar top end.

Plus ...if someone were to copy my manifold design and apply it to top mount ................. spoolup would be even better . For zero power penalty.

Hi . If it is possible for you to get hold of an REW engine from an rx7 I'm sure that would be a easier and more reliable engine for your purpose. But if you really want to stick with the Renesis feel free to pm me for help.

Thanks for posting and good luck with your project!

Some feedback on the S2 Brown (660cc) injectors I put into P1 a while back . I noticed the engine would stumble and surge a lot at idle. Came to the conclusion that the injectors were too large for the ECU correction regime so I raised the idle to 1000 and .............all good since !

Thinking about throwing it on the dyno again soon as it's going better than ever ATM. Recently stuck some semi slicks on to test them . Went full throttle in 2nd and the car was snaking up the road like in a F&F movie . Lot of fun............ but damn those tyres don't have much traction when cold !

Setting the idle to 1000 rpm is probably good for any Renesis; NA or turbo.

With my tunes I set it to 900 and that seems to be a good compromise setting .

Mine is slightly more than 1000, but that’s because of the race pullies to get the alternator output above 13V

Log from yesterday after changing the air filter setup . @ 14psi on E50 .
Torque is coming on nice and early super smooth all the way to boost cut at 7400.

Good power at 14 psi and nicely sustained torque shelf from 4200 on...
