Brettus turbo 11
since you would still be using the factory ECU to handle the non-engine stuff I'd think a Cobb AP might block most of the code issues, but it would depend on the standards. Passing OBD is a lot different than passing a visual.
. PM me if your interested in doing the swap haha.thewird

Maybe its because we push 500-600 rwhp on pump gas while renesis struggles to make 400 rwhp and last... ionno, i think any car enthusiast group would push the limits of their engine until it goes while acquiring knowledge during the process.

Your fallacies are starting to add up. I thought you had a point with your REswap comment. The renesis just seems like a time bomb when boost is involved. Hell it's a time bomb in N/A format. Brettus' comment caught me off guard and I laughed.

Pulling her apart again today
. Really struggled to get around to doing this to a car that is running fine .
Plan is :
*Refit stock centre sleeve
*Drill engine mounts to try soften them up a little
*Fit near new 6 speed gearbox (5 speed is too graunchy )
Then ...
if it feels good - dyno
rebuild 5 spd

Although my comment got the reaction i thought it would and I know what you guys are saying the simple fact is - yes I have raced FD rx7s . I presume they were stock but - I totally destroyed them (by as much as 7-10 car lengths from a roll in 3rd gear).

struggles to make 400whp? I haven't seen too many people try that have the funds to do so. The most popular kit is the greddy and it's simply not the one to do it. Mawnee was onto something with his kit but with the tuning issues he was having and the Z06 bug hitting him he threw in the towel.
I doubt it would have ever made 400 whp
+1Point for team making yet another incorrect assumption

Demodded? You mean the car or the turbo kit?
As far as I know I bought Mawnee's turbo setup
Edit. Yeah sorry I meant the tc kit is still running not the car.. Have no idea where it is

Nah ... I'm out in the country and it's PITA to get in to the city where the dyno's are located.
I just use the Virtual Dyno software.
FWIW it pull in 3rd gear consistant 270-280 whp and 220-230 Torque @ 7100-7400 rpm
On my Maf scale that's around 360+ g/s
I know it's all relative ... so I'm just say'n
edit : Tires (translated for Brett Tyres) broke loose on one of the 3rd gear runs.

How come you maf readings are so much lower now -weren't you up over 400?
WCS, in the virtual dyno go to
File -> Options -> dyno tab, check custom and use brettu's number 1.11 the default is 1.09
the 4th gear pull is more accurate, i bet your at 315whp though, with the new dyno setting
WCS only ask about a curtain voltage, he may not be hitting that maf scale of 400g/s

We were throwing around ideas about WG springs and different setups on the WG Ports.
I hit 400 in a couple of logs but the data didn't seem right and now I suspect it is my maf scaling as mentioned above.
I may have a boost leak somewhere, and like stated already I think my Maf scaling is mess around the 4.53 to 5 volt area
First picture are older logs at 1.09
Second picture are same older logs at 1.11 plus the same Datalog#5 and Datalog#7 from the above post, oh and smoothing set to 1
