op its a well kept secret here if you want power with an awesome tq curve (yes we have graphs) you need to swap in an isuzu v6 and use the stock twins from a 300zx. theres a member here who could probably help you out. his name is kickerfox

If you guys weren't going to help, why comment at all? There is loads of information on this forum and you will need to search, but I will try to help you with the basics..

GENERALLY on "THIS FORUM", when talking about WHP levels that are generally considered reliable is about 280-350... The turbo discussion is too long to post or talk about, but I personally am going Garrett 3082 with a custom top mount system.

Your PSI question (gosh this is toUgh! lol)....Well that number will depend on your setup and desired power levels.

Oh btw, put aside about 15k before you even think about this. SERIOUSLY/

Ok, then just get the one that goes "zoom-zoommmmmm"

Otherwise the last thing needed is advise from someone else that also has no idea what they're doing either i.e. a 3082 is a poor rotary choice in general and in particular for that power level. A GTX3576 would be a much wiser choice for a custom top mount.

For what power level? Who said "I" was aiming for "that" power level. I personally have different goals. If 280-350 was my aim I'd go for a low mount setup.

maybe your aim is the opposite of everyone else i.e. less response, more lag, and a narrow power band?

under-sized turbine wheel fitted to an over-sized compressor wheel is generally considered the opposite of what a rotary needs

most knowledgeable rotary turbo people consider the GT30 turbine too small for a 76 compressor, let alone an 82. Even a GTX3582R would make more sense.

I understand that. There are hundreds of variables for all of that, many different scenarios and situations. One of our customers had a twin turbo Infiniti G35 with a blown motor. I purchased both 3082's from him at an amazing price, they only have about 2500 miles on them. We've had an rx8 sitting around for 2 years. We originally wanted to convert it to all wheel drive, instead we put that money elsewhere. It's likely that I may change the turbine side out, we will see. So we're going to experiment. Thanks for the feedback.

I'll actually have to bring you in. You will have to follow me to the shop. Man you won't believe what we've already done to an rx8. Weve been looking to pay someone to build a kit without us doing it, we don't want to spend the time, so I've been reaching out. Once we get the bottom half of the turbo setup complete I'm sure we'll have one of the more interesting vehicles. BTW I'm Dexter. Inbox me

My latest favorite is a BW 9183EFR with a titanium shaft, billet compressor wheel and dual ceramic ball bearing....
