Anyone with greddy turbo that can help

Ok still having issues with the kit. (Has been tuned by turbo trix) I have replaced the cat, with bb pipe changed the plugs, put that wire that greddy sent out. Still have the gasket that they sent with it cause not sure where that goes. The problem I am having is while under load I hear a whooshing sound and the car bucks. Once I let off the gas it stops. If I am under boots or not every once in a while I get the check engine light blinking. anyone else having this problem please let me know what you did to fix it (not taking turbo out) at this point this is what I feel like doing . I also have this that was never mentioned in the install kit from greddy https://www.rx8club.com/attachment.p...chmentid=61987
o and i think i have R flash as i got the gas tank recall fixed

Whooshing sounds like a BOV that's set too soft. Bucking afterwards sounds like the BOV is venting to air and the mix is suddenly too rich.

Oh boy, better check that engine. That doesn't sound good at all! I'll keep my fingers crossed you aren't the 3rd person in 2 weeks to blow a rotor.

I'm not sure, but try PM'ing Saphonica and OfficerFarva. I believe they are having their engines worked on currently. I'm interested in the price as well, as a preventive measure, and maybe get a mild street port at the same time.

I believe they sent you a airpump hose gasket that connects to the downpipe. Others just used their stock ones instead of the one originally supplied with the kit. It's part #49 on the turbo instructions. The hole was too small on the one they sent.
Pic between the 2 is here.
I believe people that left it in, were getting a CEL , maybe the secondary air something....?? I don't remember.

It was supposed to be removed, so no need to worry. It's the VFAD actuator.

It's install section 3-7 step3 "Install a vacuum hose to the port on the intake manifold (right after the throttle) that was connected to the VFAD actuator (removed with the Air cleaner box) and connect it to the provided pressure sensor. Route the harness with the e-manage harness and connect it to
the e-manage. "

The R-flash with the stock Greddy map is bad news. It was designed for the M-flash. Call Greddy and ask about an updated map for the R-flash, no one in this forum has been able to get it yet, if it does exist.
