Well, yes. Yes it is.

Actually, I just hit the low boost button on my Profec and don't worry about it.

I'm pretty particular about where and when I fill up, so it is only on long trips that I'd be un-juiced. For the occasional trip to an out-of-state track, I do carry a 2 gallon fuel jug of the stuff.

The 18g and the 20g are close. But both turbos are way over priced for what the flow. A TD06 20g is about 980 dollars. The 20g flows 44lbs/min. You can pick up an EVO III 16g for 450 Dollars and it will flow 42lbs/min and it spools about 500-700 rpm's quicker.

I see your logic for computing the VE from torque, but this plot shows the VE to be above 90% from 5k up. So which do you think represents the more correct value?

Why do you still use a VE of 75% under boost? The VE would be drastically raised with a turbo cramming in air.

Effective VE increases with the turbo. The actual flow restriction of the motor stays the same and the turbo has to work against it.
You end up having to work backwards from the final numbers to get what the VE is with the turbo and that doesn't help us.
