Quote: Arrrrrrrrr!!!

The best way I can describe my experience when in "boost" is a harder VTEC transition. The sound the engine makes at that point is vicious and the pull is hard through to redline! Maybe not what I was ultimately expecting but will definitely make more cars familiar with the rear end of an RX8.
You are in a MT Al? Do u think the (also charles), AT pull will be longer as the gears are longer? I have a 4 Sp AT. I included a pic of what i will be getting when i do decide to order the kit, also i have visited ZEXs site and seen the Blue LED purge kit. why do u and why dont u reccommend it, and if so where would u reccommend? also i have found the black out ZEX pic below urs, when is it going to be available to us? What engine oil are you using now that you are running NITROUS?? Any cooling enhancements (radiator or oil cooler wise) dual oil coolers?? Al do u have an exhaust/race pipe? or are you all stock (of course KN filter with factory box)? I plan on getting my nitrous hook up only for 1/4 purposes maybe once every two mo. when i go to san diego and mess with my cuz's S2k crew. Please correct me if I'm wrong about my mathematical equation below.

Zumn, I'll let Charles address your post but I will say that you will probably not be getting 12 or 13 second passes on an automatic.

So that was quick.

My bottle is done.

Probably because I was spraying every chance I could... and I might've been using the 65-hp jets the last two days.. shhhh.

yeah def not in that range i dont think with an auto

MAYBE high 14's with some other mods, hard to say really

longer pulls mean your out of power for a longer time, take a look at our HP curves

hmm yeah... my bottle pressure is at like 650-750 no matter how warmed it is.. and I no longer feel the pull when it activates..

Sure.. but not worth it.. I can always refill this one and it's not like I'm going to be going through 1 tank every 3 days like my first one. Now that I know what it feels like I'm going to get it refilled and let it just be there for those "comparison" runs.

Ow. $4.79... The cheapest they charge is $3.50 a pound down here at a local speedshop. They chill your bottle, so I drop it off at lunch, and pick it up after work. But this guy says he doesn't really make any money off it... just does it to bring in business.

You have a nice setup. You should be having fun with it. We all factored in the price of nitrous before going this route. Pay-as-you-go power!

Yeah.. I gotta find some other local place... and it doesn't help that I have to drive a good 20 miles to get it refilled.

I had my all out fun with the first bottle.. my second one is there and ready for anything that may "come up" !

Bah, does anyone happen to have a 17 fuel jet (for the 55 hp) they can stick in an envelope and send over to me? I seem to have misplaced it.

Soo... somthing happened and my intake box went boom!

Not so bad really.

The air filter is a bit screwed..
The two screens that straighten airflow were blown out..
My MAF blew out of it's socket..
The two clips on the front of the airbox are gone..

I was at 6k rpm in second.. put my foot down.. 2 seconds later I hear a pop.

The car drives fine.. the idle is great for the most part but there is a little stutter.. it wants it's screens back!

Comments?

I am assuming that there was probably some puddleing in the intake which woudld have caused the backfire. . .

just guessing - if you were in gear and spraying at 6000 but not WOT you would have more nitrous coming into the intake than going out . Hence the buildup and BOOM effect .
