Thanks man, lot's of time, money, and hard work is all. I should have my latest mods buttoned up tomorrow and new pics up soon. Then it will be off to the body shop to have the spoiler painted and the new MS rear I put on painted.

So, just in case any of you are trying to determine which FFS to use, it seems the FFS with the larger inlet/outlet is best for our returnless setup. Just and FYI.

You have to be running some high flow numbers to need the additional bypass around the sensor to limit pressure drop. Just more cost, complexity, and leak potential if you don't. ID injectors are rated flow @ 43 psig fuel pressure too.

Thanks Teamrx8, I like these type of fittings way better than the ones with the plastic inserts. Both seal well but these are easier to install and remove.

That intake tray is looking nice - the BHR tray needed a fair amount of trimming to fit the greddy/AEM style intake. Would look mean in black, pretty surprised you haven't powder coated the crap out of it yet.

Have you thought to run a sheet of metal across the top of your crash bar below the air filter to block off the airflow from hot air rising from underneath into the intake? Particularly the air behind the IC and in front of the rad that gets heat soaked while sitting in traffic. Probably not a huge gain for you as the IC appears to fill the gap behind the crash bar already. Running this sheet of metal would allow you to drop the IC a bit lower to get more clean air. Looks like the top of your IC is partially blocked at front by the crash bar and at back by the firewall?

Would love to see a temp sensor after the IC to see how much difference these changes would make (if any) in your hot location...what's another week or two off the road for 9k?

The tray is coated, I had it initially done by jet-hot and then redone locally to the current finish which is a gloss silver so just more attractive than the jet-hot.

The tray is a must, I did log intake temps before this tray and it makes a huge difference at idle, like 20-30F difference if you have no tray. The stock plastic tray actually works well. it is just ugly, At speed I am within a few degrees from ambient even in 100F weather. Now of course if you sit long enough at idle in hot weather then everything will eventually heat soak regardless.

My intercooler is in the normal greddy position and blocks the gap between the crash bar and the body. It is coated black as well but only to make it less visible. I have run this type of intake for a while, I have just been refining it and I think this is the final version. It only uses one coupler and goes in as one piece.

So you DID powder coat the **** out of it.

Your custom Greddy intake is a nice piece of work. Let us know if/when you start marketing them. You could easily do a variation to suit NAs.

Yeah, you don't want to drop the intercooler any lower than you have to; need to keep as much airflow through the Rad as possible, especially in the climate he's in

Dude, I miss nitrous. It was the best bang for the buck by a long shot. I still have my fancy bottle mount and still often think about running a small shot with the turbo kit but I am not that brave.

Don't get me wrong. You have the right basic idea IMO, I just don't agree with the execution. Especially since you dumped the OE fan/shroud. Instead of attempting to block hot air with a tray full of holes why not instead have a sealed duct that contains and directs where the radiator/fan discharge goes?

Think about it ..

On version two of the tray I will definitely make the hole for the intake to pas thru smaller. It was a difficult thing to cut actually. But i have recently purchased a few new tools (chop saw, drill press, band saw, etc) to make things easier on the next go round. Now if I can just learn to weld aluminum. I will be starting classes real soon on that along with my father, real excited.

Sweet, I'd love a good drill press,hopefuly kind of stout to do some light milling. I dont have a band saw either.

I really enjoy welding Aluminium, just be very careful. It gets hot and you cant see it.
