It was set for 10PSI, I think I better pay attention to who is near my open hood at the next event, I'm glad my tune is rich.

I hope that isn't what happened, maybe it was just a fluke. I'll test it in a bit. Could have been a problem if I was lean.

What was your goodbox reading? that's why Brett speed recommends two boost sensors.

So this just occurred to me. When I was preparing for the Corksport event I was under the car and notice the the hose to the wastegate actuator was run a weird way and the line had a mild kink in it that I didn't like so I removed it and ran it a direct route from the boost controller to the actuator. I didn't really get into boost much on the way up there and back so I didn't notice it but I bet that line had a kink and now that it's fixed it was boosting more and screwing up my tune.

So many damn little things. Good thing it was rich. I also reset the boost gauge on the Good Box and the Prosport so I will see what the difference is on both now. The Good box boost gauge is fed from the "U" tube on the UIM and the Prosport is hooked up to the service port on the LIM.

nice simple article !

searching around, those staying NA are recommended on the ID 1000's... or OEM is still better?

There is no need to upgrade injectors if you are NA.

ID1000s on NA? I can think of no benefit whatsoever of upgrading injectors on an NA setup.

It would be like building a massive nuclear power plant to spring a light bulb.

That's gotta be up there with the most unnecessary things I've heard in a long time. Which injectors did they say to replace? All 6?

There is your first mistake.

I'm still rocking factory injectors they have 150k on them, I had them cleaned and flow tested at 125k. Of course the yellows are uncapped now due to the turbo....

Anyways, It's not difficult to swap the injectors out, unless you are a tech at a mazda dealership.

Don't ever ask Turdblown for advice again. You can get new or slightly used injectors for cheap but there are plenty of places to get them cleaned and flow tested.

So it appears I have been chasing my tail. I started over on my tune fresh and spent the weekend tuning and got stalled on my bank 2 injectors and after several logging sessions, my bank 2 injectors (stock yellows with 133,000 miles) are off by as much as 17% and were mostly off anywhere from -0.08 to +0.17 (-8% to +17%).

So now the question is, do I get a couple of the numerous injectors we have laying around cleaned and flow tested or do I get brand new ones and have them flow tested and install them? Rebuilt injectors are also an option.
