2009 RX8 R3 Turbo?

I have been looking for a turbo kit for my car but all the ones I find don't have 2009 as a avilible year. Is there any kits out there for the 09s?

There word that thing are tighter down by the manifold so the 03-08 kits wont fit. I haven't got down there to check on a 09 to see how tight the spacing is but i'll go with the crowd. Be patient on will be available soon or fabricate a top mount.

I havn't seen an kits yet for the 09. As stated, the only way would be to do some fabrication.

There's also the tuning issue. I'm guessing that right now the only option would be an aftermarket ECU.

No kits as of yet. Aftermarket just isn't interested in our cars, especially 09's.

Any good shop could fabricate you a top-mount turbo system, but tuning will be your real issue. Cobb is currently working on 09 AccessPORT's but until then your only ECU option would be to custom wire in a piggyback or even go complete stand alone ECU, there are no PnP options.

Its a dead hole in the Series 2 section, lol. as I just bought a 09 R3 ill let it stock for the warranty coverage, and when its off, probably looking for simple turbo kit, nothing to raise hell but something interessting (~300-350hp).

1. **** it.. Do like Bergenholtz bros.. Swap that Bish out with a 3 rotor ...

2. Swap in a FD 13b like Kyle Mohan... but then agian he has no OBII and is specifically Race Trim... so...

3. Keep your warranty may'n. Someone will make a turbo kit for the 09's soon..... Im sure RE Amemiya or Knightsport or a Rotary Engine Motorsport company will come out with something soon. If im not mistake PETTIT already has a Supercharged 09 if you want to go that route.

I've posted at least twice a 09+ 8 with a custom FI setup. If anyone wants it bad enough then it can be done.

word, its upsetting but honestly even though they say the motor has been "improved" and they've reduced the chances of our motors flooding i'd say keep the warranty, i've had my R3 for a 1 1/2 years now and i have been to mazda over 20 tes now wether its my motor sounding funny, electrical issues, TCS, DSC, a rattle in my door, and my freakin 2nd gear wont engage properly at high revs... and the imbreds at mazda... well in 20 visits havnt done S!+# for me.... so i say forget boost till warrenty is up.
