Got mine installed....I was in for an unrelated issue with the CD player so I asked the guy to plug it in while he was back there Yesterday I ran the wire and everything works great

I am also being sent a new unit which I really appreciate but I am sure a lot of these have been sold. Have most people not had any problems? I hope that is the case.

 

I just got my installed. Really fast shipping and Circuit City put in for $50.00. Well worth it. I will never go back to a FM Transmitter again!

 

Will you be making video rca and 1/8 jack? I would like connect the video ipod but I connect the audio of the a dvd player though the 1/8 jack.

 

We've had a couple people ask. We're sending an email to the mfr. to see if they're willing to do it.

 

I hope they do. Thats what I like about your prouduct, that I am able to connect 2 audio devices. When the the ipod is playing , is the album cover being shown external monitor?

 

Your site says the mp3 player version is on backorder and won't be available until late September. If I order now is there enough stock left in the back order that it will arrive once the backorder ships or will I have to wait until the next backorder gets filled? BTW, This is for an 2001 (non-bose) MX-5 part.

I dont udnerstand, all you need is a simple line in through your head unit, and you can listen to your mp3 player through your head phone jack.
Why all this extra sepcial bs for?

 

Kudos to these guys... my Audio Link was apparently defective as it started misbehaving on its second day: it would consistently stop functioning after 5 minutes (and remain unusable until the car sat for at least several hours, after which it'd work for 5 minutes and then break again).

They sent me a new unit, which has been working flawlessly since I installed it a few days ago (knock on wood).

 

Read the first post for the complete list of features, but essentially, these units enable the use of the steering wheel controls and some other features on the headunit.

 

are there any more left?

Has anyone tested the Audiolink with a 5.5 generation video iPod?

 

It will work fine. Apple has used the same dock connector interface for the iPod since Gen 2.
