what am I doing wrong with my MP3 install??

ok, the whole deal is hooked up. MP3 adapter installed in the back of the radio, rca adapter from mazdaparts connected to the adapter, firmware is 9.55, mp3 player connected and pressed play, nothing. I press and hold cd and nothing, says no disc. I reset the pcm, disconnected the battery, did the brake reset, held the odometer reset, still nothing. Am i missing something really really simple????

So which port did you plug into?
If you plugged into the CD changer port then you need to press the CD button to toggle the display to EX

the culprit was a bend input connecter, from what i could see it was the ground wire too, bent it back to where it should be, plugged everything back and know its working just fine, thanks everyone for the memory jog.

You pulled out your HU, fixed the cable and put it back in in 30 min.?
Or was this some other cable?
